Dylan gets out as the limo speeds away. He feels defeated and doesn’t know what to do, though he knows he must do something. He weighs the options and searches for a clear answer. But it seems as though he has only one choice and he knows no matter what the cost, it is something he must do.
He gets into his car and once again takes out his phone. Clearing his head and taking a deep breath, he steadily dials the number. Finally, after the third ring someone answers, “Hello?”
Dylan: “Hey, Bette, it’s Dylan….umm we need to talk.”
Chapter 17…………………………………
Bette: “Ok……is everything alright?”
Dylan: “Well, that depends on how you look at it. Listen, I don’t know you very well, but something is happening I think you should know about. “
Bette: “I’m listening.”
Dylan: “The other day when I was leaving your office, Helena Peabody approached me. I think she must’ve been eavesdropping in on our conversation because she tried to bribe me into setting you guys up or something. I don’t know exactly what exactly she had in mind. I guess she wanted me to back out of donating or somehow sabotage it, but I told her I wasn’t interested. Then tonight after I had dinner with you guys, she met me outside my car, like she was following me or something. She’s insisting that I take her offer. I don’t know what her problem is, but I’m afraid she might get violent or do something extreme. That’s why I’m telling you this. Something has to be done because she seems to have a real issue with you and if she finds out I told you all this she’s probably going to have a real issue with me.”
Bette is fuming, “*****! I swear I could strangle that *****. Dylan, I don’t want to get into the details, but to make a long story short, I’ve never done anything directly to her, but she feels like I have and now she’s trying to get me back. I told her to back off or I would sue her for harrasment. So now she’s, obviously, using more indirect means to hurt me. I’m sorry you got caught up in this mess.”

Great chapter…got rid of two birds with one stone. Glad the board met with Bette alone. This is getting good. I’m glad Dylan told Bette about Helena’s plan, but for some reason I still don’t really trust him…hmmm, I wonder why? LOL
Cool story. Oh the wonders of technology. So its smooth sailing from here on out, right? Why do i doubt that?

Oops, did I jump to the wrong conclusion about Dylan. I officially appologize, and own up to my bad assumption. I am so GLAD that Franklin and Helena got what was comming to them. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I was beginning to think we’d have to live through another drama plot courtesy of one disgruntled Ms. Peabody. It’s great to find some sensible people with guts enough to stand up for B/T. Now, on with the show!
