Bette:(into the phone) “Xandra, this is Bette Porter. I’m so sorry to bother you this late, but something significant has just been brought to my attention that I think needs to be discussed with the board. However, it involves Franklin and Helena so I would like to convene without their presence, in fact, I would rather they not even know. How would Monday morning at 7:30 be? It is imperative that I speak with the board. Uh huh, Thank you, Xandra.”
Monday morning, CAC board room
Bette has just finished explaining to the board, what Helena has been up to.
Bette: “I realize that these attacks are aimed at my personal life, but I’m sure you all can understand how it is affecting me professionally seeing as how Helena and Franklin are on the board. If this harrassment continues I may be forced to seek legal action and if that is required, then it will be difficult for me to retain my position here at the CAC.”
At this time, Franklin and Helena burst into the board room.
Franklin: “What is the meaning of this? Why wasn’t I notified of this meeting?”
Xandra: “Franklin, why don’t you and Helena have a seat and let us ask the questions.”
Franklin and Helena are perplexed. They both sit down facing the rest of the board.
Xandra: “Some disturbing information concerning you and Miss Peabody has been brought to our attention. Is it true, Miss Peabody, that you have been harrassing Miss Porter?”
Helena: “I have nothing to say without my lawyer’s presence.”
Xandra: “Very well then. Franklin, Miss Porter has reason to believe that you and Miss Peabody are in league together in an attempt to cause her personal troubles. Is this true?”
Franklin: “Absolutely Not! The only partnership Miss Peabody and myself have is here on this board. Our relationship is completely professional.”
Xandra looks at him with contempt. She leans into the intercom and presses a button, “James, please send Mr. Graham in.”
Dylan walks into the room and sits beside Bette. Both Helena and Franklin squirm in their chairs.
Xandra: “This gentleman claims you two have attempted to hire him to impose these troubles upon Miss Porter.”
Franklin: “This is ridiculous. I’ve never seen him before.” Pointing at Dylan, “You have no proof to back up these heinous allegations.”

Great chapter…got rid of two birds with one stone. Glad the board met with Bette alone. This is getting good. I’m glad Dylan told Bette about Helena’s plan, but for some reason I still don’t really trust him…hmmm, I wonder why? LOL
Cool story. Oh the wonders of technology. So its smooth sailing from here on out, right? Why do i doubt that?

Oops, did I jump to the wrong conclusion about Dylan. I officially appologize, and own up to my bad assumption. I am so GLAD that Franklin and Helena got what was comming to them. Way to go Bette, that’s how you kill two birds with one stone; and Franklin, don’t let the door hit you where the good lord split you. Excellent post, you go girl!! please post again soon.

Thank you, thank you, thank you. I was beginning to think we’d have to live through another drama plot courtesy of one disgruntled Ms. Peabody. It’s great to find some sensible people with guts enough to stand up for B/T. Now, on with the show!
