Bette, T, and baby make three Ch. 15

Dylan attempts to break the ice, “So was traffic too bad on the way over?”

Bette: “Not really, just the usual crowds winding up for their Saturday night outings.”

Dylan: “Yeah, I ran into the same thing.”

The waiter places the drinks on the table, “Are you all ready to order? Or do you need a moment?”

Dylan: “I’m ready. What about you two?”

    Tina: “We’re ready.”

Dylan: “Ok I’ll start. I’d like the Talesai Salmon.”

Waiter: “Ok and you?” Pointing to Tina.

Tina: “I’ll have the Masman Curry, please.”

Bette: “And I’d like the Thai White Curry Chicken.”

Waiter: “Very Well. I’ll take your menus. Can I get you anything else for the time being?”

Dylan looks around the table, “No, thank you.”

The waiter leaves and the three of them waste no time in getting to the point.

Dylan: “I understand the purpose of our meeting so please feel free to ask any questions that may be lingering in your mind.”

Bette: “Well, I had the opportunity to meet with you yesterday so I’ll leave the floor open for Tina.”

Tina: “Well, from what Bette has said you seem like a great guy. Not to seem rude, but I was just wondering why you seem so eager to donate when you hardly know us.”

Dylan: “That is a fair question. It is a little difficult to explain but I would wonder the same if I were in your position. My father died a couple of years ago. He and I were very close right up till the end despite the fact that his only born son was homosexual. He was very accepting of my chosen lifestyle, but always said he would’ve loved to have a grandchild to carry on the family legacy, as it were. I’ve never been the parental type. Never really wanted a child and, to be honest, I don’t think I could be the type of father that any child would deserve. But for my father I would’ve done anything in this world. I’ve been searching for a suitable couple to donate to for some time. You know, a couple that was financially sound, loved each other, and could provide a loving home and stable environment for my seed. I just feel that if I can’t raise a child as a parent then at least if I donated then I could still somehow grant him his dying wish, so to speak. At long last, I believe I have found what I’ve been looking for in you two.”

    3. I am in agreement with the others..Dylan seems too good to be true. Something doesn’t seem right. It’s just too easy…too perfect — and nothing is perfect. Thanks for the story, please continue.
