Bette, T, and baby make three Ch. 15

Tina turns and pulls Bette close to her body. She leans in and gently places a kiss on Bette’s lips, “Thank you. It makes me feel so good to know I still catch your eye.”

    Bette: “So…you ready to go?”

    Tina: “Yep.”

The little blue Saab backs away from house number 231 and travels to the end of the street. Bette looks both ways then turns left passing “The Crescent at West Hollywood” sign. They make a right two blocks down and are instantly caught in traffic at “The Planet”.

Bette: “Wow, looks like Marina is going to have a busy night.”

Tina: “Yeah, I think Alice said they were having some kind of local talent showcase or something.”

Bette: “That sounds interesting. Do you want to stop by later if it’s not too late?”

Tina: “Sure. Where are we eating?”

Bette: “Um….I’ve never been to the restaurant before, it’s called Talesai. It’s Thai.”

Tina: “Oooh, I love Thai! Isn’t it over on Sunset?”

Bette: “Yeah, Dylan picked it out.”

The restaurant is packed. Bette looks at Tina, “Looks like Valet is full. We’ll have to park on the street.”

Tina: “Yeah, good thing we have a reservation.”

They park a half a block away and hurriedly walk to the restaurant in an effort not to keep their dinner guest waiting. The host shows them to their table and Dylan stands to greet them.

Dylan: “Good evening ladies.” He hugs Bette, “glad you could make it ” then shakes Tina’s hand, ” it’s nice to meet you, Tina.”

Tina: “Nice to meet you, too. I hope we didn’t keep you waiting too long.”

Dylan: “No, I just got seated a moment ago.”

Bette pulls out Tina’s chair and helps her into her seat then seats herself to Tina’s right.

Dylan: “I hope the restaurants ok. I wasn’t sure what you liked.”

Bette: “Oh, it’s great. We love Thai.”

    Dylan: “Great!”

The waiter approaches, “Hello, I will be your waiter for the evening. May I take your beverage order?”

Bette motions between her and Tina, “Um…we’d like a large bottle of Perrier.”

Dylan: “And I’ll have a glass of Cabarnet Sauvignon.”

Waiter: “Ok I’ll have your drinks to you in just a moment.”

    3. I am in agreement with the others..Dylan seems too good to be true. Something doesn’t seem right. It’s just too easy…too perfect — and nothing is perfect. Thanks for the story, please continue.

    4. I totally agree with everybody else, there’s something shifty about that bloke, i don’t know whatit is but i’m sure we’re gonna find out!
