Linda: like you two ever stopped…
Tina: well mom we are always practicing… and practice makes perfect babies… look at Tessa
Linda: no argument from me… keep doing what you do best… and you’ll need to add an addition to this house…
Bette: well we are hoping for no more then 4 kids… but if they are as cute as Tessa… we will need an addition on this house…
Tina: hmmmmm… lets get through the second one first… and then talk about how many more we want…
Bette: well right now I am starved…
Linda: dinner is ready… and I’m going home… see you in the morning…

That night after their routine with Tessa was finished… no words were needed they both changes and crawled into bed… Tina holding Bette… while again they both cried them selves to sleep…
The days turned into a week and then almost 2 weeks went by… things back to normal… but both very conscious of the calendar that hung in the bathroom… as each day went by Bette would put an “X” through the day before… and a small number counting backwards in the corner of the next day… 7 days to go…
Tina walked into the bathroom…
Tina: we’re getting close
Bette: 7 days… Tee… I’m so nervous… what if…
Tina: Bette… no “What if’s” it will happen… before you no it this house will be filled with our babies…
Bette: You promise…
Tina: with all of my heart… lets go… its still a work day…
Bette: Yes BOSS…
Linda was just finishing feeding Tessa… the cereal was all over her face… and she even got some on Grandma…
Tina: having a little trouble their mom…
Linda: she is just like you were… would rather just drink from me and the heck with food…
Bette: (Smiling) well mom she hasn’t changed too much…
Tina: hmmm… would love to hear some of your baby stories…
Bette: me too…
Linda just looks at Tina… while Bette walks into their study for her briefcase…
Linda: Tee… has Bette ever said any thing about her mom…
Tina: not much… wish I knew what happened… if Melvin was like he is now… then… I don’t blame the women for leaving…

This was a great chapter Amanda. I always felt sorry for Bette and if I could have beaten Melvin for what he did to Bette and her mother, I would have. I hate men that abuse women and children, now I’ve started hating him all over again. I hope Tina’s mom can find her, and if she does, I hope Bette can accept her. It wasn’t her fault that she left and that old bastard always threatened her if she tried to see Bette. Hope you let them reunite in your story. Great chapter. Thanks for posting.
