    “You are going to pickle in that self-loathing homophobia of yours,” Alice said bluntly.

     

    For a second, Dana’s eyes widened in disbelief. Then they narrowed in anger.

     

    “Well I’m sorry if sponsors aren’t clamoring to sponsor big lezzy tennis player, Al,” Dana whispered harshly as she gathered her books into her backpack. “But you know what? I always fucking back your play. I get enough shit from everyone else. I don’t need it from you too.”

     

    With that Dana stormed out of the café.

     

    She had almost made it to her car, when Alice caught up to her.

     

    “Dana wait,” Alice said placing her hand on Dana’s shoulder to get her to turn around and face her.  “Look, I am sorry. I’m an asshole. I am in a shitty mood but that’s no reason to take it out on you. I’m so so so sorry.”

     

    Seeing the sincerity in the blonde’s brown eyes, Dana felt all of her anger melt away. Leaning back on her car Dana sighed, “You’re forgiven. Like I can ever stay mad at you anyway. But do you mind telling me why you are in mood that caused you to bite my head off.”

     

    Alice just looked at Dana, biting her lower lip and fidgeting a little.

     

    There were only two people in the world that made her fidget. The first was Gabby. But since they broke up a month ago, that left only one option.

     

    “What did your mom do this time,” Dana asked concerned?

     

    “Lenore called to say she is coming to my graduation,” Alice said with a sigh.

     

    Dana waited for further explanation.

     

    “Uh, Al, isn’t that what happens at graduations,” the athlete prompted?

     

    “You don’t know Lenore. She says she is going to come but then something will come up and then I am going to have to walk across that stupid stage for no reason, all because I submitted the paperwork saying I was going to walk because she said she was coming.”

     

    “Oh.”

     

    “Yeah.”

     

    Furrowing her eyebrows in thought, Dana finally said, “Well I’ll be there. And I am sure the other girls will be if you want them to. So if anything we will be there to yell obnoxiously for you when your name is called. Kind of what you do when the line judge makes a bad call at my matches.”

    1. Great update, anionayo!! I understand Alice’s frustration, but, she could have said it in a less confrontational manner. I am so glad she went after Dana and that Dana heard her out. The whole “hotdog stand” conversation was so funny. I think Dana knows that Alice has her best interests at heart. You continue to write Dana’s journey in a very real way. Thanks!!

    3. D falling off the bed was pretty funny. Her interaction with the guard Jim was very genuine. I also like A’s P.A. Julie. That’s an asset to A. Looking forward to the interview. uhhuh is right, please don’t cancel it. I also like to point out that I don’t recall A & D were both reporters concurrently in different fanfics like yours and uhhuh’s “Danish: Breathless.” Therefore, this is a very exciting time.     6. Hey Anionayo :D I have finally caught up with your story and can i just i LOVE it so much. As many ppl have sed before me u reli do write the girls almost perfectly wait no perfectly u really do it amazes me how well u write them :) I love the journey ur taking the girls thru as well very real. And as for this last update boy both Al and Dana were snappy today, Al didnt need to be like tht but it only bcus she cares. I guess i second everything other ppl have sed so i wont write wat u have already read haha :) Thnks for a fab story and cant wait for more PPS :) xxx P.S Sorry agen for missing Danish Day :(

    7. HelllOOoo A! Wow. I really wish that Dana didnt have to ‘hide’ but i guess i can understand, at least Al is there for her even though she doesnt agree. So its going to be team H&D? LoL I can only imagine what those two will be like together….hopefully Dana will get some stuff sorted out in her head and figure out how and when she will follow her true self. Thank You for another outstanding update!
