Alice was a nervous wreck as she sat her office at LA Magazine, prepping for one of the numerous staff meetings that came with now having an office. It wasn’t the meeting she was worried about— her draft of her latest article was ready ahead of deadline and she had a good handle on her research for her next article. No, what had her in knots was not an assignment but a certain blue eyed brunette—her Dana. More specifically, she was worried about where she stood with her girlfriend now that a certain redheaded chef was now back in their lives; back in Dana’s life.

Things were going so well. At Pride, just two weeks ago, the athlete had professed her love for her and Alice couldn’t have been happier. They were in such a good place. But now all that seemed to have been washed aside by Lara’s return and Alice had no clue what to do. She loved Dana so much, didn’t want to contemplate what would happen if Dana chose to get back together with Lara.

Shane had told Alice earlier that morning that she was being stupid.

“Dana loves you Alice. You just have to trust that,” Shane said.

“Errg,” Alice said resting her head on her desk, wishing she could just listen to what Shane and her heart was telling her. But her mind would not let her forget past heart breaks.

“Delivery for you Alice,” came a voice, causing Alice to lift her head to see one of her co-workers come in carrying a beautiful vase of a dozen long stemmed red roses. Alice smiled at the sight knowing that they could have come from only one person.

Then another coworker came in with another dozen roses.

    And another coworker.

    And another.

When all was said and done, Alice had ten vases, each filled with gorgeous red roses, on every available space and ten curious coworkers taking up her entire office.

“Anyone see which one has a card,” Alice asked standing up to search for a card?

“It’s in this one Alice,” Sarah said passing the aforementioned card to the smiling journalist.

Upon opening it, Alice’s smile got even larger.

    1. Happy Danish Day! I love Dana being straight forward to Al which she told her she didn’t want Lara, yeah this was great! And she planned a long weekend with Al? Hmm, I can’t wait to see the romanic side of Dana. I look forward for the update. PPS and thanks!

    2. How romantic! Love D’s peace offering. For a moment, I thought it was Valentine’s Day. lol. I am so pleased that D made it very clear to A her intentions. Also glad that George was easy on A and let them have a fun weekend. Looking forward to see what D put together. Thank you so much for this wonderful start of your new story. I also want to express my sincere thanks to you, anionayo, for making this day possible. Your idea of this day was truly splendid and your effort is greatly appreciated.

    3. Happy Danish Day, anionayo!! Thank you so much for conceiving and organizing it. Good for Dana to send the flowers. I had to laugh at Alice wanting to keep the office and ditch the meetings – been there, done that. You wrote Dana’s goofiness and awkwardness perfectly here. And then Miss Dana steps up and gets Alice a long weekend. I was very thrilled to see the TBC at the end. I look forward to more Danish goodness. Thanks!!
