“The music sucked,” Tina said.
“Not a good piece of action in the whole place,” Shane commented.
“I have a early morning for work tomorrow,” Bette added.
“It’s boring without you,” Alice chimed in before hooking her arm with Dana’s and adding gently, “Come on Dane. We’ll take you home."
Dana just sighed and let Alice drag her toward Shane’s car in silence.

After being dropped off at her dorm, Shane and Alice, Dana tried to sleep but whenever she closed her eyes she saw Lara on that dance floor. So an hour after she had parted ways with her two friends Dana made her way to Lara apartment.
Not seeing the redhead’s car, Dana debated her next move eventually deciding to head into the apartment building. As she approached the redhead’s door Dana pulled out her keys but for some reason couldn’t bring herself to unlock the door.
She knew Lara wasn’t home, but looking at the key, a tangible sign of the love and trust, what she saw earlier finally sunk in. As the tears poured down her face, Dana walked back to the stairs and sat on the top step. There she waited.
The hours passed by so slowly as Dana analyzed the past year of her relationship with Lara. All her mistakes- everything she put Lara through in her attempt to hide her sexuality. Eventually she heard familiar footsteps coming up the stairs.
When Lara turned the corner up to the last flight of steps, she saw the brunette and knew she had been caught, not just to what extent.
Playing dumb the chef asked in a concerned tone, “Baby, what are you doing here so early in the morning? It is barely past seven o’clock.”
Clearing her throat, Dana simply said, “We have to talk.”
“Why didn’t you use your key?”
“I didn’t feel like it.”
“So what you want to talk in the stairwell? Come on lets go into the apartment.”
As Lara walked by Dana, she made no motion to touch the brunette. Wordlessly they walked down the hall and entered the apartment.
There was a heavy silence as Lara putted around- starting some coffee, pouring a cup of orange juice for Dana.

Poor Dana. Kim and Lara should just go to make out point and put the car in drive and fall of the cliff. I love this story. Keep up the great work.

uh, yeah they have enough drama. thank goodness. hopefully that is over with. now the door is wide open for danish. but i am thinking you may throw a wrench in that plan. i guess we will see.
Kim and Lara?… I was not just being paranoid, after all. Props to Lara for not starting the “… blah blah blah… I promise I will never do it again. I’ll spend the rest of my life making it up to you… yada yada yada…” bullshit. It would have been pathetic. Yeah, Tonya was annoying, but if you get past that, she was pretty funny sometimes. Don’t worry about the clone, I’ll find one eventually, lol. Sorry about your finger, lol.
Poor poor finger, looks like you still pulled it off though. Hate that Dane had to see that but now her eyes are WIDE open for anything ‘new’? that comes her way. So sorry to hear about your finger! Stupid paper and stupid work. I agree with everyone above about the excellent AlShaDane interaction. Kim and Lara? Holy moly. I didn’t see that coming. Love how supportive all her friends were. Dana did a good job with the breakup. Lara was wrong-wrong-wrong. If you don’t like Dana being closeted then break up with her. Don’t start screwing some other girl. Dana did her best in the relationship that she could. Hopefully this doesn’t turn Dana off dating and possibly starting something with a certain blonde. I love the conversation that AlShaDane had before arriving the club. I also appreciate the gang’s support and their excuses to follow D out of the Planet, especially A’s. The fat lady sang!! I think Lara’s answer, “a week” nailed the coffin. Like you said, “Anyone who doesn’t like Dana all sweaty obviously doesn’t deserve her.”. You did a great job with the breakup.
