Chapter 16
"Would you put your damn phone away," Alice commanded when she saw the brunette checking a messages…again.
"Yeah, Dane just chill. We are going have some fun tonight. Have a few drinks…. dance a few dances… meet a few ladies," Shane said as she steered her jeep through the light traffic.
"I don’t know guys… This might not be the best idea. I’m not even 21…there never going to let me in…."
"Bette’s sister owns the club… getting in will be no problem," Alice answered easily from the front seat.
"… I have big tournament coming up I should be resting up…"
"You can rest when your dead…" Shane countered.
"What if I run into someone I know… they’ll know I am gay…"
"Dana we are in WeHo I hardly think anyone from your tennis team will be here… plus if they are here, that means they are gay too and that is one more person to add to that closet with you and Harrison…" the blonde said with a shrug before turning around to give Dana a smile. "Actually that sounds rather kinky…"
Dana just fiddled with her phone, "I just feel bad that I can’t get a hold of Lara. She has been asking me for so long to take her out dancing… and now I’m going to a club without her… it doesn’t seem right…"
"It’s not like you haven’t been trying to get a hold of her all night," the skinny brunette cut in once again.
"Yeah," Alice agreed. "I mean your dating not married. You can have a night out without her attached to your hip all the time."
Noting how apprehensive her athletic friend looked, Alice eased up a little bit. "Hey Dane, don’t worry. We’ll go an have some fun I promise… nothing to wild and crazy. I’ll even act as your human shield…no hussies will hit on you if I have anything to say about it," she added with a wink.
The brunette gave her friend a small grin, a little more relaxed and added, "Don’t let me stop you from meeting some girl… two weeks without a single date… that has to be a record for you, Al."

Poor Dana. Kim and Lara should just go to make out point and put the car in drive and fall of the cliff. I love this story. Keep up the great work.

uh, yeah they have enough drama. thank goodness. hopefully that is over with. now the door is wide open for danish. but i am thinking you may throw a wrench in that plan. i guess we will see.
Kim and Lara?… I was not just being paranoid, after all. Props to Lara for not starting the “… blah blah blah… I promise I will never do it again. I’ll spend the rest of my life making it up to you… yada yada yada…” bullshit. It would have been pathetic. Yeah, Tonya was annoying, but if you get past that, she was pretty funny sometimes. Don’t worry about the clone, I’ll find one eventually, lol. Sorry about your finger, lol.
Poor poor finger, looks like you still pulled it off though. Hate that Dane had to see that but now her eyes are WIDE open for anything ‘new’? that comes her way. So sorry to hear about your finger! Stupid paper and stupid work. I agree with everyone above about the excellent AlShaDane interaction. Kim and Lara? Holy moly. I didn’t see that coming. Love how supportive all her friends were. Dana did a good job with the breakup. Lara was wrong-wrong-wrong. If you don’t like Dana being closeted then break up with her. Don’t start screwing some other girl. Dana did her best in the relationship that she could. Hopefully this doesn’t turn Dana off dating and possibly starting something with a certain blonde. I love the conversation that AlShaDane had before arriving the club. I also appreciate the gang’s support and their excuses to follow D out of the Planet, especially A’s. The fat lady sang!! I think Lara’s answer, “a week” nailed the coffin. Like you said, “Anyone who doesn’t like Dana all sweaty obviously doesn’t deserve her.”. You did a great job with the breakup.
