I remember someone old once said to me:

The lies will lock you up with truth the only key

But I was comfortable and warm inside my shell

And couldn’t see this place would soon become my hell

Alex walked away, back to her home under the highway. She was distraught and in pain. Halfway there, she doubled over in pain and spat up some blood. She slowly lifted her shirt and looked down. She had the bat imprinted in her stomach and chest. Almost her entire torso was purple. She pulled herself up. She needed to get back to her spot. There’d be tonight’s customers waiting. She couldn’t watch Alice anymore, it was too risky. Why was she following her anyway? Alice didn’t want her. She had dumped her.

So is it better to tell and hurt, or lie to save their face?

Well I guess their answer is don’t do it in the first place

I know I’m not deserving of your trust from you right now

Alice Walked home after a couple hours at the Planet. Night had fallen. She pulled the sleeve up to her nose and sniffed the familiar smell. She let a tear fall. She wished that she could just have her back in her arms again. She bowed her head and prayed for it.

Alex was seated under the overpass, listening to the horns and tires screeching above. She held the ice packs to her throbbing feet and aching body. She then layed down, smaking her head hard on the concrete, then ignoring the pain. What did it matter now? She then closed her eyes and fell asleep.

She was soaring above her body. She saw how helpless she looked. She thought back to her old life, as she had done for months. Why was she being so stubborn? Why shouldn’t she just go back? Why all the pain? She’d only inflicted it on herself. Maybe things would go back to normal if she went back. She could try and win Alice over again. Just remembering the way they were still made her weak in the knees, and teary eyed, knowing it was over.
