    Chapter 6. A B&T Story.

    It was the last week of final for both Bette & Tina.  Tina had a mild panic knowing the end of the semester meant the end of her tutoring session with Bette.   They have made friendly progress since the misunderstanding with Eric cleared.  However, Bette remains steadfast in her anything but beyond friendship with Tina.  The conversation with Jenny make light of Bette’s inner struggles, forced Tina to explore, and dissected her own reservations.

    The weeks following her talk with Jenny had been awakening.  She quietly watches Bette during their session and paused to reflect her own interaction.   The aching feeling of void and loneliness surrounded her whenever Bette’s not around.  The nearness of her makes the stifling air disappeared, the butterflies in Tina’s stomach flutter, and the hour enchanting.  Her scent invaded and relaxed Tina’s heart to accept the possibility that Bette is hers once in a lifetime.  She was ready and the truth has set her free.  Unable to contain her own discovery, Tina take the initiative and enlisted Jenny’s help to carry out her master plan to woo the stubborn brunette beauty come this New Year’s Eve.

    Tina and Jenny make contact at the bar at 10PM that evening.  Jenny left Bette in the Twilight ballroom under the pretense of getting another drink and meet Tina to trade the whereabouts of Ms. Porter for a safer view of the fireworks about to happen.

    The short walk toward destiny was nerve-racking for Tina; the beating of her heart must have slowed down a few beats with anticipation.  The martini for Bette was sloshed slightly by the trembling of her hands, Tina take a deep breath and gulped down half of the screwdriver to calm the nerve.   

    There she stood with back toward Tina, tapping a foot rhythmically to the tune of ‘Don’t Speak’ hammering out by a local band on a nearby stage.  The neon black-lights lined along the stage and wall created an illuminating affect surrounded Bette.  She was dressed in simple black slack and white, open-collar stretch shirt, simple yet luminous among the many unflattering flashy garments.  Tina’s eyes fixate on the captivating figure and languorous in her approach.

    “Here is your drink” soft spoke words, distorted off its origin by the loud music thumping in the background as Tina leaned closer to Bette’s back, her mouth almost touching Bette’s ear with baited breath.

    2. Thanks for the back story on Candace and for the kiss (durrrrrrr lol). Now I have to wonder what Leigh has to do with Tina. Things that make you go hmmm…

    6. Now, now Lament, I personally have nonething against you giving or getting a kiss from Curioust. Just as long as she has time to write and post her story. LOL Back to the stoy, I hope that Tina is going to call Bette. Communication ladies, communication :o)

    7. Oh goodie, Tina is going to step out again and reach for Bette. Happy that Candace is related to Bette and not after her. Too bad that show did not go with this angle since it was known that her father was one to step out on his wives. Shane and Candace make a cute couple. It will be nice to see how Bette takes to Tina contacting her. Loved how you explained their first meeting (Bette and Candace) and first contact of skin (Bette and Tina).

    8. Okay, am arrived only now to read chapter 5 and 6. So light slowly comes into the darkness. So Candace is Bette’s half-sister. We only need the solution for Bette’s accident now. And still it apparently is damaged by it physically. Do I see this right or why does everybody have such worries about Bette’s state of health? It becomes slowly time, this Bette and Tina meet and begin to close the gaps of their past. And I hope they will build up a future together.

    10. It is nice to know that Candace and Bette are sister’s. Please let Tina and Bette hook up real soon. Maybe just to talk . What up with Leigh? Thank you Great Chapter. PPS
