    “I think they have moved on to toffee apples in preparation for Halloween “

    “The boys are really developing in the last few months – especially Danny “

     

    “Becky has been good for him – brought him out of his books and his movies “

     

    “Yes – nothing like having a virtual sister who kicks you ass at all sports and kicks your shins at soccer “

     

    Bette laughed “He asked if he could go rafting the other day. Six months ago if I had suggested it to him I would have got such a withering look “

     

    “The same look you would have given someone if they had suggested that to you at the same age “

     

    “Oh hell yes – I would have run miles. I liked to stay in and read with a nice cup of hot chocolate and a sandwich “

    “And was Tina the same when she was young?”

    “Ms Kennard was ultra sporty and fit and never sat down and could beat most boys at running and climbing trees “

     

    “Her mom has been grassing her up?”

    “Yeah – she was telling Becky and me all about Tina the other day – we all went out for Sunday lunch – 10 of us – it was a carvary – not much food left after the squad had enjoyed seconds “

     

    Helena laughed “Are you still getting questions about your intentions towards Tina from her mom?”

     

    “We sat them down over dinner and explained that we are content with what we share and the pressure is not helping either of us “

     

    “When in reality you would love nothing more than an excuse to buy matching rings and name the day “

Happy for Bette & Tina showing their love for one another, no matter what is going on. Glad they could steal away for a little bit, they needed and deserved it. I can be charming and could stand some gifts (although that new cell phone I was telling you about has a camera, so I hope she’d give me something else.)
