Alice has something to tell Dana…

As the song starts to play, Alice looked up to the control booth for the first time since she started talking. What she saw brought a smile to her lips….her Producer was standing next to the window, holding up a sign that simply said… "Thank you." Alice was just about to look away when she saw another sign being held up. "You have told us how you feel…it’s time…tell Dana."

(Back in WeHo Tina looked up at Bette, who continued to just stare at the radio. "You did that didn’t you?" "Hmmmm?" Bette asked, not looking away from the radio. "When our baby boy died. You lost your heart, and became a dark void." Bette slowly turned her head, and met Tina’s questioning eyes. "Yes," she whispered. "And I took the opposite route and became Niagra Falls." "Yes," Bette repeated. "Candace…she was your Niagra Falls, wasn’t she. Your affair with her was you seeking to feel again. She was you becoming the Santa Ana fueled forest fire." Bette looked devastated, yet relieved at the same time. Grateful that because of Alice, Tina finally could verbalize what Bette had been going through right after Tina’s miscarriage. "Yes," she repeated for the third time. "Oh baby…" Tina pulled Bette into her arms, hanging on as tight as she could. Bette’s form of grieving had caused the end of their relationship. But for the first time, Tina was finally able to see that Bette’s affair was her response to her grief. A form that was foreign to Tina because of the betrayal and pain it caused her. Bette’s form of grieving had only added to Tina’s already overflowing pain. But, at least now she could see that it had been grief, and not Bette trying to hurt Tina on purpose, or not something that Tina was lacking that had caused Bette to stray. "I love you so much." Bette tried to pull away from Tina, not trusting the words, knowing Tina had said them before, and had then left her for a man. But, Tina held on tight, determined that this time she wouldn’t emotionally desert Bette like she did the last time. This time she would be the hose that would help fill Bette’s emotional pool. "I love you Bette. I know you don’t believe me. I know you don’t trust me. I know you don’t even like me very much right now. But, I do love you. With all that I am, I do. And, I will take my lifetime to prove it to you." With one arm wrapped around Bette’s waist, Tina stroked Bette’s hair with the other, repeating the words… "I love you, I love you, I love you.)

    1. Sea, you said you dont write much about Alice, but I want you to know that I read this with the same goofy smile you probably had on your face. You did a terrific job with this one….thanks!!!! (clapping my azz off)

    2. DAYUM girl! Well I WAS going to write something for the challenge but I think you just buried the competition alive. LMAO On writing Alice, you did her justice. I also loved the B&T tie-in of course. =D

    3. While this is an “Alice” story, there’s something familiar about it. OH YES! I know now… the tone of this story reminds me of one of my favorites on this site…”If it is meant to be…” or maybe then again “When you get it, do you still want it?” You warm my heart… or should I say “fill my pool”? Thanks Sea. :)

    4. That was great. You are such an excellent writer that I don’t think you could write a bad story even if you tried. I just love everything you write.

    5. A wonderful and emotional goodbye to Dana. Alice finally lets go of her pain. Excellent writing, Sea, as are all your posts. I can just picture Alice saying those words her show. Thanks for sharing this with us.

    6. omg i loved it and i think its one of the best stories i have read in months and also had a happy ending and on tbc…. lol thanx for making me smile today i needed it

    7. Hey Sea! That was wonderful. I must admit I chuckled when I saw the post wasn’t purely Alice. Just couldn’t stand not to have Bandt in there could you? I loved this! Let’s hope this is how season 4 opens up.

    8. This was really beautiful, and, strangely enough, helped me put the Dana to rest… TV emotions back on track. Love the Defending Your Life reference (love that movie!), as well as Katharine Hepburn (not that she really needed a plug), and I always adore your treatment of our girls Bette and Tina – and how you always make sure they end up together in a way that is right and believable. You wrote Alice to well, complete with babbling and tangents, and I could picture her saying all those things. Thanks for sharing your wonderful story, and I look forward to your next post!

    9. Very sweet, Sea. I notice you smoothly included a B & T reunion as well, you sly gal. Oh and “Defending your Life” – love that movie.

    10. Absolutely fantastic story.I shed a few tears while reading it. Just beautiful! Are you planning on writing other chapters? I do hope so!
