Bette:(looks down at Tina’s ankles)Oh God…I got an idea how about you sit here and I will get the wine and you can just tell me where the glasses are…(smiling at Tina)

Tina:Ok…The glasses are in the top cabinet

Bette goes over to the cabinet and gets a glass…While pouring the wine she looks up to see Tina looking at her and smiling…Bette is extremenly nervous and she doesn’t know where to begin…But she knows that it must begin somewhere sooner or later

Bette takes the wine bottle and the glass over to the couch and sits next to Tina

Bette:So…Let me get comfortable…(looking around Tina’s apartment)Wow your apartment is nice

Tina:Thanks it felt like eternity when it was time to unpack everything…I thought that I would never get it done but I did it when I had time

Bette:(taking a sip of the wine)Well Tina the reason why I wanted to talk with you today was because I needed to tell you personally how I feel…It is just something that I wanted to say to you in person

Tina:Ok…I am listening

Bette:Well according to my understanding when we were at the planet the other day you were speaking about how being good parents would help us to build a new partnership…I felt if we were to build a new partnership that I would have to be honest with you…With everything(putting her head down)

Tina:(rubbing her hand though Bette hair)It’s ok Bette…I understand where you are coming from…Really I do please don’t cry

Bette is beginning to cry and she knows where it is coming from…The touch from Tina made Bette miss what she had with Tina…This also made Bette wonder would they ever have another chance

Bette:(wiping her face)Anyway I wanted you to know that the reason why I never came to you like I was suppossed to was because I was afraid…
(Tina cuts off Bette)

Tina:Afraid of what Bette…(Tina is beginning to cry)

Bette:(takes another sip of wine…her tears are flowing freely)I was afraid (taking a deep breath)I was afraid of you thinking that I was a coward if you saw me crying or constantly complaining(tears coming down more)

Tina:Oh Bette…(pushing Bette hair out of her face)I would have never thought that of you Bette…I would have never looked at you any different…I would have still loved you no matter what Bette…Do you feel like a coward now?…How do you feel Bette?…Look at me and tell me how do you feel right now?…(Tina lift Bette face to her)

Bette:(looking at Tina)I feel heartless, I feel cheap, I fucked up the only thing in my life that ever really mattered for something that wasn’t even worth it… I am the laugh of the whole stalk… I let you and everyone else down…Look at you Tina…This should be our moment to shine and I should be there for you not anyone else…I fucked up so bad Tina…I am sorry…(wipes her face)

Tina:Come here…(pulling Bette’s towards her to hold her)I understand Bette…I understand…Shhhh don’t cry Bette….Please don’t cry

Bette:Tina…I need to know this and I want you to be straight up with me…(takes a deep breath)Do you still love me Tina?…(Bette looks at Tina)…Tina I need to know do you still love me?…

Bette and Tina are in complete silence again…Tina is looking at Bette for the first time in her eyes…She knows that in her heart she loves Bette and has seen the progress that Bette is making…Tears being to flow more in Tina eyes as she looks at Bette…Bette’s eyes begin to water even more…Bette is trying to uncover what Tina is thinking…But she knows to expect the worse…(Bette puts her head down as tears flow more)

Tina:Bette look at me…(lifts Bette head up and takes a deep breath)Bette I still love you…(Tina kisses Bette gently on the lips)I love you Bette…I always have…(looking down and then back up at Bette)…and I always will…..
