James:Ok(leaving Bette’s office)

Bette:(smiles and takes a deep breath while picking up the phone)Tina

Tina:Hey Bette…I um…(smiling)I just wanted to let you know that I am at the house and when you are ready…well(laughs)I am here

Bette looks at her watch…The time is 1:30p.m.

Bette:Is that an invitation to come earlier than 3:00 or are you just messing with me to see how I am going to react?

Tina:Well it’s true it’s an invitation…and no I am not messing with you to see how you will react…I mean if you are done before 3:00 I am at the house if you want to come by early

Bette:Ok…Thanks I will keep that in mind

Tina:Ok

Both Bette and Tina are silent…All they could hear is one another breathing through the phone…Tina’s heart is pacing fast from nervousness…Their phone conversations are usually brief with maybe a hello,or hi, or maybe how are you but never silence…Bette on the other hand is nervous too…She and Tina have never had a complete day to talk…And besides their conversation from earlier it was indeed a nerve racking day…Bette hoped that Tina would indeed listen to her and hopes that Tina indeed unstand her…(Bette breaks the silence)

Bette:Well Tina I heard what you said…And I will take that in to consideration…(looks at her clock)Oooh I have to get to lunch…So Tina I will see you then

Tina:Bette

Bette:Yes Tina(nervous)

Tina:I am really looking forward to meeting with you

Bette:Tina I am looking forward to meeting with you too

Tina:I will see you soon…I hope(laughs)

Bette:I will be there Tina…I will be there

Tina:Well go and enjoy your lunch and I will talk to you ok…Bye Bette

Bette:Bye Tina…(Bette hangs up the phone)

When Bette gets off the phone she screams out loud…Yes…Yes…Yes… causing James to come in to her office

KNOCK! KNOCK!

James:(opens the door)Bette are you ok?…I heard you screaming

Bette:James I am fine…But thank you for coming to check on me

James:No problem boss

Bette is on her lunch break and decides to go to the house to get the flowers that she picked for Tina from the garden…She wraps them up and grabs a bottle of wine on her way out the house…Bette looks at the time which is 2:00…She could have taken Tina up on her offer to be at Tina’s earlier than 3:00 but she had unfinished business to take care of at the CAC…Just the though of Franklin breathing down her neck was the major part of it…
