    Bette finally introduces Tina to the girls at a beach date…

     

    Bette smirked at the reporter in return and then turned to Tina.  “You remember Alice?”

     

    Tina extended her hand.  “Of course.  Nice to see you again, Alice.”

     

    Alice smiled warmly and she shook Tina’s hand.  “Likewise.  It really is so nice of you to join us…that way we don’t have to listen to Porter gush about you nonstop.”

     

    Bette squinted her eyes and shot Alice a look of death, causing Tina to let out a soft laugh.  “So if Bette’s the Wicked Witch of the West…”

     

    “You already know moi…the good witch of the North.”  Alice chuckled.  “This would be Shane…yeah she’s definitely the witch from…uh…the deep down South…because she definitely spends the most time there in Southern regions…”

     

    Shane rolled her eyes at Alice’s introduction and interrupted quickly.  “Pleasure, Tina.”  Shane gave Tina a cool smile and extended her hand.

     

    Tina returned the handshake of the lanky, disheveled brunette and smiled.  “Hi, Shane.”

     

    “Okay McCutcheon…let go anytime.”  Alice shoved Shane out of the way and whispered over her shoulder, “Yeah…stud…she’s taken.”

     

    “And the East is represented as well,” Alice advised, gesturing with her hand at Dana.

     

    Dana greeted Tina with a shy smile and shook her hand. “Hello, Tina.”

     

    Tina glanced at Dana.  “Dana Fairbanks?”

     

    Dana’s eyes widened at the recognition and bashfully just nodded her head.

     

    “Wow.  I am a big fan.”  Tina gave the up and coming athlete an excited smile.

     

    “Thanks,” Dana replied softly with a large but sheepish grin.

     

    Alice watched the exchange and broke up the Fairbanks adoration club.  “You’ll inflate her ego beyond belief and she’ll start pulling out her 8×10 autographed glossies…”

     

    Bette rolled her eyes and put her arm lovingly around Tina.  “Now that you’ve apparently met the Witches of WeHo…why don’t we get comfy and have a cold drink?”

     

    The West Hollywood sun was shining bright.  The ladies were settled on beach towels and enjoying the ice cold beers from their cooler which helped to battle against the blazing heat.

     

    “It’s so fucking hot,” Bette declared, wiping her brow with the back of her hand. 

     

    “Hottest day of the year according to the weather report,” Dana informed the group.

    2. This chapter was a gem, had more cracks per minute than airplane! “Damn Porter! I didn’t know your daddy was a baker…look at those mighty fine buns!” LOL.
