“Think those two are okay out there?” Bette asked with concern.
“Tina seems really nice…I don’t think she will try to drown Alice just yet.” Dana replied honestly.
The three friends shared a wholehearted laugh.
“Tina’s great Bette…” Shane observed.
“She is.” Bette grinned.
“You happy?” Shane asked Bette.
“Like you wouldn’t believe,” Bette flashed that killer smile of hers.
Dana was giddy looking at Bette’s reaction to Tina. “You look like a woman in love…”
Bette inhaled deeply and answered with all her heart, “I am.”

Floating out in the Pacific, Alice rambled incessantly with the new woman in Bette’s life. “So what is it about Bette?”
Tina glanced at Alice. “What do you mean?”
“What attracts you to Porter? Surely it’s not that bossy; Type A…short for ass-y personality!”
Tina laughed at Alice’s words. “I did catch a glimpse of that Type A personality the fateful, rainy night we first met at the Gallery….but Bette’s just….” Tina’s mind began to race with the endless list of what she adored about Bette Porter and became lost in private thought.
“Just what?” Alice asked impatiently.
Alice’s voice caused Tina to return to reality. “She’s just so incredibly beautiful…not just physically, but her heart as well.” Tina gave Alice a wistful look and continued with a smile.
“And I love how we have clicked from the start…we get each other. I feel like I’ve known her forever…even though it’s been such a short time.” Tina smiled wider. “Bette makes my pulse race like no other…and smile this lunatic looking smile I never even knew I had…Bette’s so…”
Alice held her hand up. “Okay, stop right there! First, that lunatic smile you’re sporting reminds me of Jack Nicholson in The Shining and frankly it’s creeping me the fuck out! Next, enough gushing about Porter before I become ill.” Alice covered her mouth as if to stop the gagging for effect.
Tina laughed. “Hey, you asked!”
“Yeah…but I didn’t know it was going to turn into the Bette Porter Chronicles!” Alice teased.
“I have to say one last thing about her,” Tina urged.
“Fine…one…last…thing!” Alice said each word with a joking groan.

Great chapter. I’m so glad Tina and Alice are getting along so well. I think Alice is the most protective of Bette so she’s a good person to have on your side. Tina better go easy on her with the arcade games :)

Both Bette and Tina sporting wonderful, lovely, eyes only for the other smile makes me smile (my own goofy one). Tibette and the three musketeers are having a great time spending time with each other. Can’t wait to see if they are able to drag Porter to the games down on the pier.
