“Maybe we should invite Kit later? Make it a new tradition, once a week the whole family gathers at the club, having fun.” Tina suggests. Bette thinks for a moment.

“Yeah, that’s a good idea.” Bette says and smiles.

After the food, they went to Kit’s office. They knocked on the door.

“Come in.” They hear Kit say.

They enter and sees that she’s not alone.

“Oh hey, we can come back later, if you’re busy.” Bette says and stops.

“No, no, come on in. Bette, this is Peggy Peabody. She’s a friend of dad’s, and your mother” Kit says.

Bette looks a little surprised and then she looked at Tina, who also was a little surprised.

“A friend of dad and Maxine?” Bette replies.

“Yes, we were quite close back in the old days.” Peggy says and stands up and reach out her hand. “It’s a pleasure to meet you finally, I’m Peggy Peabody.” Peggy says and smiles.

“Hello, Bette Porter and this is my wife Tina Kennard Porter.” Bette says and Tina also shakes Peggy’s hand.

“Nice to meet you.” Tina says.

“Oh you’re on the other side, so to speak.” Peggy smiles. “As is my daughter.” Peggy adds.

“You’re daughter, don’t happen to be Helena Peabody, does it?” Bette asks.

“Yes, that’s the one.” Peggy says and looks at Bette and then Tina, who seems to get a little angry. “What has she done this time?” Peggy asks.

“I shouldn’t discuss that with other than my lawyer, I think.” Tina says.

“Darling. I know my daughter. She has a problem, a big problem, she gets angry if she doesn’t get what she want. If she has done anything to you, I’m more than willing to help. It’s not the first time I bail her out.” Peggy says.

“Tina, she might be able to help.” Bette says and takes Tina’s hand.

“Well. It started three years ago, she almost ran over our son, we got to talk, she seems nice, but from the start I told her I was happily married. After some time she came into my office, at the West Hollywood Social Service Center. I had an appointment with her, regarding some money she wanted to donate. It was quite a lot of money, it would’ve been a huge help to us if we got it. But as I said, she came into my office and she came on to me, pinned me to the wall and forced a kiss on me. Off course I said no. And then she threaten that the Center wouldn’t get a dollar if I… Well you got the picture. Just then Bette comes and she leaves. Then now three years later she tries again, I again tell her no, Bette is also a witness this time. But this morning I got a lawsuit against me and the Center. My lawyer is already on it, we have camera’s that probably has caught in on tape.” Tina says.
