“Oh, she’s so tiny.” Bette says and chuckles.
“Yeah, she’s perfect.” Tina adds. Julia, Jessie and the boys, moves closer to have a look.
“She’s beautiful.” Jessie says and smiles from Bette to Tina.
“She does actually look a lot like you, when you were just born.” Bette says and smiles at Julia.
Julia wipes away a few tears.
“She does?” Julia asks in a whisper.
“Yeah.” Bette replies
“And as you know, we’ve named her Andrea.” Tina says and smiles.
Julia looks at Tina and give her a hug.
There’s a knock on the door.
“Come in.” Danny calls out.
Alice, Shane and Dana enters.
“Hey, mommies.” Alice says with a huge grin. “How’s the little one?” Alice asks as they move closer to the bed. “Is she asleep?” She asks.
“No, she’s awake. Checking out her surroundings.” Bette says and smiles lovingly down at Andrea and softly strokes her chin.
Later that night.
Everyone had left. Jessie and Julia had taken the boys home. Tina stayed a little longer. They were now alone.
“I was so proud of you today.” Tina says and runs her fingers through Bette’s hair. She’s lying beside Bette on the bed. Andrea is in the nursery.
“T?” Bette says and looks up at Tina.
“Yeah babe.” Tina replies.
“Should we tell Julia that we used Peter as the donor?” Bette asks.
“Yes, I think we should. Maybe wait until we get Andrea settled in at home first.” Tina says.
“Yeah. I wonder if she’ll be mad or not.” Bette says.
“I don’t know, she might be pretty surprised, but I don’t think she’ll be mad.” Tina replies.
“You know, she never asked about him after the first few meetings. I never brought him up into our talks.” Bette says.
“Yeah…” Tina says and continues to run her fingers through Bette’s hair.
“Mmmm.” Bette moans. “You know, I’m gonna fall asleep if you continue to do that.” Bette says and smiles as she closes her eyes.
“Yeah, maybe I should get home. You need the rest and I want to tuck the boys in.” Tina says.
“Yeah, you should. Although I want you here.” Bette says and smiles.
“I would want to spend the night here, but I want the boys to feel included.” Tina says.

I have always liked your story. I may have not commented on it in the beginning, but I was being a dummy then. I am glad that you have incorporated Peter into the story (even if he is never around). I always wondered if Julia knew who her father was. Now, she has a sister and may finally meet her father. Congratulations on a wonderful award. Keep writing and I will keep reading.
