Bette nods and Dr. Evans leaves the room.
“Bette?” Tina says softly.
“Yeah baby?” Bette replies.
“I want to go home.” Tina says.
“Sure, we’ll go home after the biopsy.” Bette replies.
Tina snuggles closer to Bette and soon falls asleep.
Bette once again lets her tears fall.
The next morning:
A nurse enters at 6:30, she carefully pats on Bette’s shoulder.
Bette wakes up.
“Good morning Ms. Porter. It’s only 30 minutes till the scheduled biopsy. I’ll come back and get Tina in 10 minutes.” The nurse says.
“Okay, I’ll have her ready.” Bette says. The nurse smiles and leaves the room.
Bette moves her free hand up to Tina’s face and pulls away some stray hairs from her face. She leans down and kisses Tina’s cheek. Tina stirs and tries to stretch but Bette is in the way. Bette then gets out of bed to let Tina stretch again.
“No, don’t go.” Tina says with her eyes still closed.
“I’m not going. Baby, you have to wake up now. The nurse will come and get you in 10 minutes.” Bette says and takes Tina’s hand and kisses it.
Tina opens her eyes and look into Bette’s eyes. They stay like that for a few moments. Bette gives her a small smile and leans down and places a soft kiss on Tina’s lips.
“I love you.” Bette whispers. “While you’re in doing the biopsy, I’ll go back to the apartment and pack up our stuff and order tickets.” Bette says.
“I don’t want you to leave.” Tina says softly.
“I’m not leaving, I’ll be back before you’re back, I’ll be really quick. This way we save some time.” Bette says and takes Tina’s hand in hers again.
“Okay.” Tina replies.
Just then the nurse enters.
“Well, are you ready?” She asks.
“No, but I guess I don’t have any choice.” Tina says and give her a little smile.
“How long will the procedure take?” Bette asks.
“A couple of hours. But since they are also removing the fetus, they are probably giving her full narcoses. So she will be asleep a couple of hours after that too.” The nurse says.
“Okay. Baby I’m gonna go, but I’ll be back.” Bette says.
“Okay, could you go over to dad’s and talk to him, tell him what’s happening?” Tina asks.

i never saw someone cry more than Tina…GEEZZZ give the woman a break..lol..i know Tina will be fine but that “chapter” of her life will be never forgoten, she will be ok but she will never be 100% sure to have a baby again the psychological damage was done BUT she have Bette by her side then everything is possible..your mean Lauren very mean to my poor heart :o(

Lauren..great chapter. A VERY sad chapter. Good to see that B & T and family are there for one another. Maxine was right…Bette has to believe everything is going to be okay…otherwise, Tina will sense it and want to give up. Thanks for the teary drama…Lauren. ;-)
