A Christmas story chpt. 8…of who knows

The blocks wasn’t as filled as I thought they would be. They were empty and deserted on this holiday. No soul in sight, well except the homeless people on the corner before me. I became frustrated and sped down the street. I decided to do something I said I wouldn’t, and that was to go the beach. I went to my favorite-Venice Beach of course. I hopped out the car and trotted along the sand.

I was surprised to find some people outdoors today. The blocks of Sunset Blvd. were emtpy. I don’t know what would of given me the idea that the beaches would be too. Anyway I found a spot. One beneath this big tree that gave off alot of shade. It was yet another good day in L.A. Not too hot and not too cold-just right. So, I took advantage of this and relaxed in the spot beneath the trees. The wind blew heavidly.

My shades almost flew off my face that instant. I held on tight as the winds passed in and around me. The tides crashed and splashed against the beach. I was enjoying myself and checking all the couples that walked up and down the beach. I watched the women smile so gracefully at their partner, before leaning in and tasting their lips against their own. That made me want Tina more. The thought of seeing them happy and excited made me miss her more and more.

I said a prayer in my head and asked god for another chance to see her. Since I didn’t have enough courage to call her-atleast she’ll feel me and hopefully she’ll come and find me. I waited at the house and I knew she wasn’t coming back there. She probably figured that the gang were still there and didn’t feel good about being there. It’s understood in her case, because if it had been me I would of felt the same. Amen.

    “hey Bette” this woman said

I didn’t know who the hell she was but I spoke anyway. “hello”

“you remember me from last night don’t you?” she asked with this wide grin on her face

hell no I didn’t remember her whoever she was. “no, I’m sorry I don’t remember you”
