Spencer scrunched her nose unsure if she should touch it.  Finally she waved her head from side to side, Kasey simply shrugged and tossed the bass back into the lake.

“By the way, let me fix you’re drag.  You thought you were fighting Shamu there weren’t you?”  The brunette set her reel to its proper settings and took her seat next to Kyla.

By the end of the afternoon, the teens had caught nearly five large mouth bass.  They were being kept in the live well.  Spencer wasn’t the only one robbing the cradle, it seems that the smaller bass were fighting feverishly for the live bait more than the larger ones.

Nearly ready to call it a day, Spencer received another bite.  She propped herself up and eyed the rod’s tip.  Ashley reeled her line in and watched patiently as Spencer readied herself to set the hook.  Again the fish bit down and Spencer flung herself in the air.  Ashley stood behind her near the edge of the boat, anxiously watching her girlfriend battle another fish.

As the creature surfaced Spencer’s swiftly pulled up; the bass was massive!  As she did so the hook dislodged itself and the fish was free.  The blonde’s momentum and the instant loss of the weight at the end of the line sent her tumbling backward into Ashley.  The brunette went flying over the side of the vessel and into the freezing lake.  Suddenly all eyes were on the cussing form floating in the water.

“Oh my God Ash I’m so sorry!”  Spencer scurried to boat’s edge and extended her hand toward the brunette.

“This sucks!”  She spat.

“Hey, how’s the water?”  Aiden simply had to add his two cents.  Kasey stifled a laugh yet again.

Ashley flipped him off as her once bountiful locks now clung to her face.  Her lips quivered while Spencer and Kasey helped her into the boat.  “Holy shit I’m cold.  Spence what happened?” She asked taking a seat.  Spencer wrapped her arms around the girl trying to keep her warm.  “The fish let go and I just…went flying into you.  Sorry.”  The blonde took her sweatshirt off and draped it over Ashley.

“It’s a good thing I love you Spence…But really, it’s no big deal.”  Ashley replied, smiling.

“So that’s it!!”  Kyla piped in.  “That’s what that whole scene was about this morning!  You looooove each other!”  She added.

“Nice, it’s about time.”  Kasey smiled pulling up the anchors and preparing to take off.

Spencer and Ashley could nothing but cling to one another and smile sheepishly.  The brunette had let it slip.  They knew that sooner or later they would find out so it didn’t matter that it was sooner.  They were just glad that their ‘little secret’ was out.

Minutes later they spotted the campsite from afar slowly coming into view.  Ashley was relieved to know that she could find herself some dry clothed.  As they reached the beach the brunette hopped out and rushed toward her tent.
