“Okay fine.. you’re right,” Ashley says putting her hands up in surrender, “I have masturbated twice today, but definitely not to Madison…she’s more of a turn off than anything these days.  But I still can’t wait for her to get back on Sunday so I can break up with her, that way she’ll be off my nuts for the summer and I can actually have some fun with my best friend before our senior year!” Ashley says laughing and jumping up from the bench starting to make a run for the swings.

“ Hey! Wait up!” I yell jumping up and chasing after her.

About an hour later we’re still at the park just lightly swinging, talking, and enjoying our time we finally have together now that Madison can’t bitch and moan about us hanging out. 

“Do you think we should be getting back now?” I ask Ash as I jump off the swing and take out my cell to check the time… damn it’s already 6:30, and I have a missed call from Chelsea.  So I hit the return call button so I can see what’s up…my parents probably asked her to see where I was…

“Hey Chels…Yeah, me and Ash went for a walk….Um, we ended up pretty far away. You know that one park about four miles down the road…Yeah we’re fine, I’m sure…Yeah, we’re going to hurry because I don’t want to miss the start of Gossip Girl… Okay, thanks girl.  Love you…Yeah, I will…Later, and tell my parents sorry and we’ll be home soon.” I hang up the phone with Chelsea and turn back toward Ashley to tell her we should try and hurry home.

“So… we need to start getting back now??” Ash asks first.

“Yeah…I really don’t want to miss any Gossip Girl; apparently this week will be really good. Oh, and my parents invited you over for dinner since you haven’t had one with us in awhile… I told Chels to say you would love to come.” I say smiling and tilting my head because I know she can’t say no to that face…Ashley’s not the biggest fan of parents, but I’d like to think she’s a big fan of mine.

“Oh, okay..you know I can’t say no to a face like that.” She says smiling…did I mention I had missed that smile? And I think for the first time I’m actually really happy because Ashley and Madison are going to break up for good in less than a week…hopefully that means she’ll take me into consideration again to be something more than just friends that snuggle and hold hands….

We had to rush home to make it in time for GG, but we did it… even if Ashley did carry me on her back for almost one whole mile….it was one of the greatest days of my life.  And if that was a precursor to the rest of the summer, I couldn’t wait for these 4 days to be over and school to end.
