Basically, Ashley asked me to dance for a slow song and I said yes, of course.  Apparently, we were way to close for Madison’s liking…I mean we were rather close, but come on! It was prom! And my date was cool with it…I had kinda been seeing her or whatever, but nothing really.  She was just more like a school friend that I had a bunch of classes with but I would only ever hang out with her on the weekends if I happen to run into her or something…it worked out well because my heart already belonged to someone else. 

So now I guess I’ll just update you on the last week or so…

So since Ash and I haven’t talked since..um… 21 days now… yes I’m counting…I miss my friend…she just called me and asked if I wanted to go on a walk with her…apparently Madison left school a week early to go on her yearly trip to Spain with her family.

I pick up my cell phone about a half hour after Ashley called without looking at the caller I.D.

“Helllooo?” I ask in a singing voice because I’m rather excited Ashley was the first to break down and talk to me (Even if it is because her girlfriend who hates me just left the country)…I must say over the years I’ve learned great self restraint when it came to all thing Ashley. 

“Um..Spence??” YES!!! It’s Ashley again.  I just love her voice!

“Yeah Ash?  Sorry I was just really excited about this bag of chex mix I just found,” What?  I did just find some chex mix…that stuff is spectacular!

“You ever going to come over so we can go on that walk we talked about…or are you going to just sit around and watch TV with your chex mix??” Oh…she knows me too well..

“Oh, sorry I thought you were going to come over and pick me up…but I’ll be over in a sec hold on,” I tell her as I set my bag up in my room to hide it from Glen…I swear he eats all the good food before I even know we have it.

“Okay I’m walking….” My thought is cut short when I open my front door to see Ashley there holding a daisy…not a rose, but at least I got a flower. “….Over.” I say to finish my sentence as she hands me the daisy and we both put our cell phones in our pockets.
