    She made a date, she got anxious, and she got pissed

    Then there was Dano, Gideon, Madison, Aiden, and Skinny Jim. A whole other intricate mess that was going to end very badly for someone. Gideon still had feelings for Madison, Dano’s still madly in love with the cunt, and she was pretty sure that Madison still loved Dano. Aiden and Daniella are accomplices to an attempted murder, she almost shot the son of a bitch in his skull, and when you hit the bottom line, it was all Skinny Jim’s fault. Now her framily and ex-boyfriend/best friend were going to offer the fat bastard an ultimatum he could easily refuse. Then again, she was pretty sure that Gideon wanted him too.

    The truce had been a shaky one with more deviances from the Trent Street Mafia then from the SDR’s. The difference she could see between them was that when a Renegade screwed up, they got reprimanded hard, but when a Trent soldier screwed up, nothing happened at all. The incidents were catalysts being thrown haphazardly into a giant pot that was rumbling and bubbling its way towards a violent explosion, Spencer being raped was the last ingredient the volatile concoction needed. When Skinny makes his decision, she could only hope he makes the peaceful one, if not for the sake of peace alone then for the sake of everyones safety. Otherwise, it would be the war to end all wars and someone was going to end up in jail or dead.

    “So, are you excited to go back to school?” Paula asked her daughter, casting her a sideways glance before focusing on the road again.

    “Yeah.” Spencer replied. The whole car ride consisted of trivial questions from her mother followed by clipped answers from herself. She didn’t mean to be short with her, but she had way to much crap on her mind to pay attention to anything else. It sloshed around in her head like a thick coating of liquid, covering the other relevant topics before hardening and making it impossible to break through and think of something else. Her anxiety over going to her first psychiatrist appointment only made everything that much shittier. ‘God I wish I was riding with Ashley.’

    There was something calming about Ashley even with all her energy and sense of adventure. Her mood was like the earth, constant but ever changing. Calm meadows to violent volcanic explosions, each shift was as beautiful and unique as the last. She only wished her mother could see the same things that she saw in the spunky brunette.
