“Hey Mom.” Madison called out as she placed her backpack on the sofa.
“Hi querida.” Her mother responded as she descended the stairs. “Como estuvo tu dia… DIOS MIO QUE T PASO?!”
The urge was strong but she didn’t roll her eyes. She knew that her current condition wouldn’t go unnoticed by her mother and she would definitely have to face a barrage of questions she just didn’t feel like answering.
Ms. Duarte had her hands on her daughter’s shoulders and was taking in every scrape, scratch, and bruise on her beautiful face, concern clearly etched across her own.
Madison and Victoria got their looks from their mother and their eyes from their father. Ms. Duarte was a very attractive woman who held herself well. Men would fall over just to carry her groceries but she usually didn’t pay them a second glance. Her priorities were with her children and until she believed that they were ready for her to date again, she wouldn’t take any mans number.
“Who did this to you?! Los linchare yo misma!”
“Maaaaa.” She whined.
“Don’t you Ma me young lady, you tell me right now who did this!”
“Nothing happened. There was a bee, I freaked out and someone tried to get it off me and things got a little crazy.”
Ms. Duarte stared at Madison as if she had sprouted a second head on her shoulder. “Do I look like I’m stupid?”
“No.”
“Then don’t try and undermine me.”
“Sorry mom.”
“Jesus Christ Maddie.” She shook her head and kissed her daughter’s forehead. “If you’re not going to tell me now will you at least promise to tell me later when you’re ready?”
“If you promise not to freak out.”
“I promise to at least try. Anyways, dinner is almost ready, I made spaghetti. Oh, and I got a call from your father. Tori is coming for a visit in a few weeks.”
As if the day couldn’t be any worse. “What?”
Her mother knew about what had happened with Victoria, at least the part about Dano, not the knife fight that ended up scarring more than two people for life.
She had hated the tall girl ever since she was introduced to her, not that she had much of a reason too initially. Dano had always been polite to her, even brought her flowers on several occasions, and it wasn’t as if Ms. Duarte was homophobic either because she wasn’t. She just did not like Daniella Bearclaw and she apparently had her reasons. So as soon as she heard of what happened with her daughters and that ‘delinquent’ as she liked to call her, she did a .5 millisecond mental victory dance before dealing with the aftermath of her children’s falling out with each other. Never could she imagine that Victoria would do such a thing to her sister. They were so close, and she nearly blamed Dano for it entirely but she knew better than that. When Victoria opted to live with her ex-husband, she opposed it in the beginning, but she knew it was for the best in the end. There was no way they could stay in the same house without Madison trying to rip Tori to shreds.

right i been following this story, and this is the first time I have commented…I think. Anyway, its one of my favs and I have been waiting for you to put up another chapter, and you certainly did not disappoint. I loved it. Post more soon. Cheers
WOW… That’s all I can really say. This whole entire story line has been incredible from the beginning. It has so much feeling, description and has an amazing plot. I sometimes have to remind myself that Dano isn’t actually a character on S.O.N. That’s how much of a talented writer you are, so thank you very much for your fanfic and post more soon!
