In the confines of her room, a slow melody played in the background that did nothing to sooth her ravaged thoughts. The weight of the accidentally overheard information was filling whatever empty space she may have had in her head was making it feel heavy and full. As a result, her entire body felt as if a lead weight had been attached to it and so she sunk into her bed, sprawled out on her back, looking towards a blank ceiling for answers to questions she didn’t have the courage to ask aloud.
There had not been a time where Spencer had felt she was in mortal peril. Even on Saturday night, she was too drugged up to fear for her life. Dano on the other hand, must be constantly worrying about the worst thing that could possibly happen. To live with a persistent weariness that caused you to sleep with one eye open every night was near implausible to the blonde.
Then there was what she did, illegalities that could start from anywhere like petty theft and escalate in armed robbery, drug dealing, murder… ‘No. Dano would never do that… would she?’ Truth was, Spencer didn’t know her that well, she had only met her over a week ago and yet, she had found her to be a good person and they could be considered friends. She was someone who believed in God, in people being responsible for their actions, in Ashley. ‘Dano’s a good person but she does bad things.’ she assumed. Someone who lost their way in the labyrinth of societal expectation and the depths of circumstance; in the blurred lines between wrong and right.
She had seen it before in other people, in cases her father had talked with her about. A mother who prostituted herself to feed her children, a kid who sold drugs to pay his way through college, all heartbreaking stories of those who had to claw their way through the garbage of life in order to have a chance at living a better one in some capacity or another. ‘Maybe Dano has a good explanation.’
Then and there it was decided, she would go up to the girl the next chance she got and ask her about this double life she lead. If she didn’t, she felt like it would bother her for a very long time. Spencer wasn’t one to just let things go, she had to know, she was naturally inquisitive and so far, it had worked in her favor. ‘She’ll tell me. She doesn’t seem like a person who would just blow-off a question like that.’

right i been following this story, and this is the first time I have commented…I think. Anyway, its one of my favs and I have been waiting for you to put up another chapter, and you certainly did not disappoint. I loved it. Post more soon. Cheers
WOW… That’s all I can really say. This whole entire story line has been incredible from the beginning. It has so much feeling, description and has an amazing plot. I sometimes have to remind myself that Dano isn’t actually a character on S.O.N. That’s how much of a talented writer you are, so thank you very much for your fanfic and post more soon!
