The next day I took her to school so she could sign up for her classes. I got the principal to sign a pass for me saying I could be a little late to all of my classes in order to show Kyla to hers. We linked arms and I started taking her all over the school. Making sure she knew where everything was. We were laughing and having a great time. I was trying to find Spencer to introduce her to Kyla. I hadn’t even had a chance to tell her about my new sister. I got so caught up with Kyla I never called Spencer back to tell her.

Spencer’s Pov

Mom dropped off my brothers and me at school. Ashley was normally waiting at her car for me, but today she was missing. Her car was in its usual parking spot, but she wasn’t. I figure she got detention or something and had to come in early. That’s so like Ashley. I smiled at the thought of what ever she could have done and started walking to my class. My smile faded rather quickly when I saw Ashley and some gorgeous girl I had never seen before. She had to be new. I thought I knew all of Ashley’s friend. Which happened to be, well, me. And Aiden too. I still wasn‘t sure what to consider Aiden and Ashley. There was something there that they didn’t want to tell me, so for now I‘ll just call them friends.

For a new girl Ashley was being super friendly to her. I know first hand that Ashley isn’t THAT welcoming. Something is going on. I have to admit I was really jealous seeing them walking and talking and LINKING ARMS. I would be so sad if she was up to something. I just got her. I wasn’t ready to lose her. I walked in the opposite direction so I didn’t have to see them anymore. I spent my entire day avoiding Ashley. I wanted answers, but what if the answers weren’t what I wanted to hear? I needed a little time to prepare myself for the worst. I even went as far as talking Clay and Chelsea into eating their lunch in the art room with me. Chelsea was the art teachers star student for 3 years running, so he of course let us stay in there.
