Time Doesn’t Exist. Clocks Exist. – (Chapter: Ch.14: Spencer, Meet the Reason)
Her back pressed against the cold wood of the door and her arms encasing her legs in a tight grasp, Spencer was flabbergasted, still trying to figure out what could have transpired within those 5 minutes in the bathroom that could have made Ashley run away from her so quickly. Her mind was racing, searching for an explanation for the girls actions. Could she have had some sort of epiphany that changed her mind about being with her? This was Spencer’s biggest fear and she prayed that it wasn’t true.
For once the blonde had finally reached a place in her life where she was proud of herself, but not because of a big merger or for picking the right fledgling company that doubled their firm’s profits for the quarter, but for actually making a decision for herself, for her happiness – the decision to go after Ashley. It was a rare occurrence for her to actively pursue something. More often than not Spencer just ended up standing in the surf, allowing the waves to push and pull her every which way until she was lost with no idea of where she was. Now, she knew where she was. She was with Ashley. But, apparently, Ashley wasn’t quite with her.
She heard the front door slamming shut some time ago, she wasn’t exactly sure how long. The sound of the heavy wood crashing back into its place reverberated throughout the house and the blonde could swear even now she could feel the vibrations shaking through her body. Maybe it was the brunette that made her feel like this though. God, she just didn’t know anything anymore.
Figures, the first time in her life she finally grows a pair and she can’t follow through, all because of – well, because of what? This is where she always ended up again, wondering what the hell happened in that bathroom. She thought back to the conversation with her mother, trying to remember if she said anything that would have made the brunette run for the hills, but nope – nothing. Pleasantries, how was Patrick (Spencer conveniently not mentioning his departure), overworking herself, when was she coming home, had they talked about marriage yet, – wait! Could that have been it? Could she have heard the blonde telling her mom that no, she and Patrick hadn’t become engaged yet, and gotten freaked about what she was expecting?

oh god. it’s a walk to remember all over again. but i cried hard enough in that movie..and they weren’t even two girls. puhlease don’t kill ashley though. seriously. that would suck. a lot.
Wow! I was totally not expecting that little turn of events. Ashley can not be sick again. Please don’t make her sick and then die. *gets on knees and begs* Seriously, my poor heart couldn’t handle that. In your very first chapter, Spencer was upset because Ashley wasn’t with her. Please don’t tell me it’s because Ashley is dead. The drama, the angst, I love it!
