The brunette leaned over to her ex best friend to whisper her observation. “I can’t believe how many people are…” Ashley stopped talking, shocked, as she witnessed the boy standing just right of the corn maze entrance. “What the hell is he doing here?” The brunette said angrily, getting Spencer to look over to where she was staring.
There Aiden stood, alone, and looking awkward.
“That douche has been bailing all week, talking about having to get home for his nine o’clock curfew, but here he is, Thursday night, just out on the town.” Ashley said with venom.
“Maybe he has a date or something.” Spencer said, trying to calm her.
“I’d know if he had a date, he would tell me.” Ashley dismissed. “I’m going to go talk to him.” The brunette said, letting go of the blonde’s hand as she began to walk over to where her best friend stood.
“Ashley, no!” Spencer whispered loudly, softly grabbing the brunette’s wrist. “We’re in disguise! We’re supposed to be watching Carmen. Just call him later or something.” Ashley stopped and thought about it for a second before she pulled her cell from the front pocket of her skirt. She quickly found Aiden’s number and pushed send.
Ashley watched as Aiden took his phone from his pocket and answered.
“Hey, Ash.”
“Hey, Aid, what’cha doing?” Ashley asked calmly, waiting for the right moment to yell at the boy.
“Oh, you know, just watching TV at home.” The brunette’s eyes bulged at the blatant lie. The line moved forward again now that Carmen and crew had received their drinks and Spencer nudged the brunette forward to the order window.
As Spencer asked for their hot chocolates, Ashley watched as Carmen, Jonica, Sasha, and Lily made their way over to where Aiden was standing. Ashley nearly dropped her phone out of anger.
“Look, Ash, I got to go. I’ll give you a call tomorrow.” And with that, Aiden shut his phone, pocketed it, and greeted Sasha with a kiss.
“That lying bastard!” Ashley admonished, completely thrown by the recent events. “I should kick his motherfucking ass!”
“Ash, just let it go. I actually feel a little better that Aiden’s with them.”
Ashley shook her head, still shocked by her best friend’s lie.

Thanks then to best friend Theresa, Roxystyle011 and Mute and everyone else who nagged Stix! Special thanks to the makers of red bull, they gave her wiiiiings!! We’ve gone too long without an update and we missed you!!! Just so you know, I took notes as well. Aunt Marie creeps me out. Period. That’s all I have to say about her. Aww, poor Arthur, still so broken up. Apparently, he really doesn’t know his kids very well. How can he not know that it wasn’t his daughter who wrote the note? The killer was right beside him … scary! Stupid kids, they won’t go to the dance because of the murders but they go to dark corn mazes?? That’s like, ok killer, come and get me, kill me now since I don’t have enough sense to stay home or do the buddy system! *coughs Jonica* Kyla asking Ashley hang out felt kinda incestuous, even if they’re not related in your story. The Psycho theme playing in the background was kinda funny. Hahaha And they finally kiss!! But the progress of their relationship will suffer a setback because of the meddling, huh? You didn’t mention whoever the Killer is holding prisoner again… I have a hunch who it is but I can’t be sure. Sooooo, that means you have to post more chapters A.S.A.P. Thanks!

I pretty much agree with everything keepXmeXawake said. aunt marie pisses me off and yes she’s freaking creepy. poor ash hearing all that she said to spence. yay jonica bit the big one! sorry if I seem too happy about that but I don’t like her. sucks that their first kiss was to fool carmen, but at least it happened! finally! interested to see who the other 3 students are that the killer got to. sooo of course it means that you really really have to post again… really really soon!!! please?? ok, thanks. excellent job stix! omg so glad youre back!!! sorry bout your mom, but very glad shes doing well, and very glad you had a great bday and holiday! i wasnt sure i was gonna like a mystery/thriller from you as much as your other stories, but i shoulda known better- its every bit as addictive to read as the others :) big thanks to all who encouraged your return- but even bigger thanks to you for refusing to leave a story unfinished :) -waiting not so patiently for the next installment :)

Hey I am uber glad you are back. This story is awesome. The way you manage for me to hate a fictional character such as Marie is just amazing. Its her fault that both girls are in such pain. They deserve the best and the best is each other. I am ready for more chapters whenever you post. Sorry it took so long to read this one. But it was great. I cant wait for the killer to get what he/she deserves. I would say to bad for Jonica but I never really liked her so oh well. Hmm that probably sound bad….anyway I wonder who else got killed that night. I am glad it was not adian even though he did lie to ash which was a douch move. I hope there is more spence and ash closeness that is always nice. Ok well thanks for the post and stay safe. -Jess
