The King High Killer – (Chapter: Chapter 6 Six, Grab Your Curcifix)

Arthur Carlin retreated home from the Sheriff’s station deeply troubled. He sat alone in the dark house for hours just thinking. There was a lot to think about.
He was very worried about his children. Kids where dying and there was no clear-cut reason. The school didn’t seem safe, the diner wasn’t safe, and even houses weren’t keeping the enigmatic Killer at bay; Linda Battle was murdered right in her home.
And there was the diner. Because Arthur had been an investment banker before his wife’s death, he was sitting on quite a bit of money; he didn’t financially need the restaurant. The diner itself wasn’t doing stellar, but he had loyal clientele that depended on his business. Especially with the blackout.

Businesses of Tumbull County were the only places with power so keeping the diner closed would be bad for the town. With the deaths of J.P. and Linda, however, he didn’t feel too great about keeping the place running. He’s daughter waitressed there, Ashley waitressed there, his son bused tables…his office was there. What was the best thing to do?

Both Spencer and Glen seemed to be taking the recent events so differently. Glen was terrified of leaving the house and only did so when he absolutely had to.
Spencer, on the other hand, continued to run around town like nothing was wrong.
And then there was Spencer and Ashley. For the past four years the two never spoke and suddenly they’re best friends again?

Not that Arthur was upset about this. He wanted to see the brunette back in his daughter’s life.

The past few days Arthur found himself talking more and more to his deceased wife; visiting her grave or just speaking out loud to her in his car or in front of the mirror. He prayed that she’d give him the strength to guide his family in the right direction.

After his wife’s death, Arthur willingly gave up his job to buy the diner in hopes that he could spend more time with his children. But for some reason that never went to plan. Arthur spent long hours in his office those first few years running the diner and doing paperwork. He was use to working hard as an investment banker and he wanted the diner do to well considering it was named after his late wife.
The sound of the door opening made Arthur sit straighter on the couch; he didn’t think anyone would be coming home. Glen had practice, Marie was at the hospital, and Spencer and Ashley sent a text saying they were headed to Halloween Haven. He wasn’t sure if it was a lie or not.

    1. Thank you keepXmeXawake for being Stix’s great friend so she felt compelled to post. Oh wait, that’s me! Yay me! Thanks then to best friend Theresa, Roxystyle011 and Mute and everyone else who nagged Stix! Special thanks to the makers of red bull, they gave her wiiiiings!! We’ve gone too long without an update and we missed you!!! Just so you know, I took notes as well. Aunt Marie creeps me out. Period. That’s all I have to say about her. Aww, poor Arthur, still so broken up. Apparently, he really doesn’t know his kids very well. How can he not know that it wasn’t his daughter who wrote the note? The killer was right beside him … scary! Stupid kids, they won’t go to the dance because of the murders but they go to dark corn mazes?? That’s like, ok killer, come and get me, kill me now since I don’t have enough sense to stay home or do the buddy system! *coughs Jonica* Kyla asking Ashley hang out felt kinda incestuous, even if they’re not related in your story. The Psycho theme playing in the background was kinda funny. Hahaha And they finally kiss!! But the progress of their relationship will suffer a setback because of the meddling, huh? You didn’t mention whoever the Killer is holding prisoner again… I have a hunch who it is but I can’t be sure. Sooooo, that means you have to post more chapters A.S.A.P. Thanks!

    2. thanks to everyone you said to thank.. because you’re back! god that was a long time coming. I pretty much agree with everything keepXmeXawake said. aunt marie pisses me off and yes she’s freaking creepy. poor ash hearing all that she said to spence. yay jonica bit the big one! sorry if I seem too happy about that but I don’t like her. sucks that their first kiss was to fool carmen, but at least it happened! finally! interested to see who the other 3 students are that the killer got to. sooo of course it means that you really really have to post again… really really soon!!! please?? ok, thanks. excellent job stix! I still love you!!

    3. omg so glad youre back!!! sorry bout your mom, but very glad shes doing well, and very glad you had a great bday and holiday! i wasnt sure i was gonna like a mystery/thriller from you as much as your other stories, but i shoulda known better- its every bit as addictive to read as the others :) big thanks to all who encouraged your return- but even bigger thanks to you for refusing to leave a story unfinished :) -waiting not so patiently for the next installment :)

    4. i was thrilled to see you posted again! i love this story, it’s so suspenseful, it kills me!!! i can’t believe aunt marie… what a fucking doucher! i really want to know how this ends so you must pms! pleeeeeease!!!!! =]

    5. Hey I am uber glad you are back. This story is awesome. The way you manage for me to hate a fictional character such as Marie is just amazing. Its her fault that both girls are in such pain. They deserve the best and the best is each other. I am ready for more chapters whenever you post. Sorry it took so long to read this one. But it was great. I cant wait for the killer to get what he/she deserves. I would say to bad for Jonica but I never really liked her so oh well. Hmm that probably sound bad….anyway I wonder who else got killed that night. I am glad it was not adian even though he did lie to ash which was a douch move. I hope there is more spence and ash closeness that is always nice. Ok well thanks for the post and stay safe. -Jess
