The Happiest Moment of My Life
“I–” I stopped as my gaze caught new movement at the back of the church. Jacob stood there, a hurt expression still etched into his face since the last time I saw him. My mind went back to the day a week ago in his garage. I could still smell the familiar scent of a mechanics workspace. He was working on his bike; spicing up the engine, new paint job, etc.

“I don't know why you want to marry that leech.” Jacob said as he tightened a bolt.
“I would appreciate it if you didn't call him that.” I sighed, “You know that I love him.”
“You love me, too.” He stood up straight and his head grazed the ceiling. I sighed. He had me. I do love Jacob. But not the way he loves me. I could never love him like that. “Jake, it's not the same. You're right. I do love you. But nothing more than a friend.” His face grew grim. “Bella, will you stop lying to yourself? We both know what you want. I can give you things he never can.”
“I'm two years older than you.” I was desperate now for him to quit it already.
“What does age mean? It's just a number. I'm almost positive Wanderer and Ian worry about their age.” he added sarcastically. A chill ran through me. “Please, could we just drop the subject?” I mumbled rubbing my arm. I saw a quiver run down his spine and took an involuntary step away. He clenched his fists. “You're afraid of me.” he growled. I could see him struggling to restrain himself from turning. “But yet you run to that bloodsucker!” he spun around facing me, “When he left you last year who was there to help you? Who was there to make sure you didn't do anything restless or stupid? Who was there to watch as depression ruled your life?” Tears pooled in my eyes. “Jacob–” I never got to finish. His mouth slammed into mine. I gasped as he pulled me tight against his chest. I let myself relax to the familiar touch of his lips. Oh, why am I always attracted to the mythical creatures? VAMPIRES AND WEREWOLVES ARE NOT SUPPOSED TO EXISTS!! Slowly he broke the kiss. Tilting my face so he could look into my eyes he said, “Now, that has to be better than kissing a rock.” (:)) A grin played across those soft lips. Quickly I shook my head. Taking a step back made him release me. Without saying another word, I ran from the garage leaving a dismal Jacob Black behind.

Snapping back to the present, I took a deep breath and gave Edward my best smile.
“I do.” The priest smiled and closed the book. “I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride.”
We kissed to the sound of cheering and applaud from our family and friends. Blindly, I threw the bouquet of flowers over my shoulder and into the crowd. We turned to the sound of cheering as Angela caught it. Holding hands Edward and I dashed down the aisle, laughing as we jumped into the waiting limo. As the car pulled away to go to the party at the Cullens–now my–house, I realized I am finally part of the Cullen Clan. My dream has actually come true.
“This is Isabella Marie Swan Cullen,” Edward whispered into my ear making me laugh. “Get ready for a honeymoon you will never forget.” My face lit up. “Y-you mean you're going to turn me?” I stammered, barely able to contain my enthusiasm. “Do vampires exist?” he grinned. I smiled and tussled his copper colored hair.
This was truly the happiest moment of my life.
