The Happiest Moment of My Life

“Thanks, Dad.” I kissed his cheek. Soon we heard the organ playing that familiar tune. “I love you, Bella, honey.” I slipped my hand through his arm as the doors opened. Looking up, all my worries faded as I saw my loving Edward standing at the altar. He was dressed in a black tuxedo with a white carnation pinned to his breast pocket. Standing behind him were Carlisle, Jasper, and Emmett all dressed similarly? Esme, Rosalie and Alice stood opposite them in long, lavender; strapless dresses each holding a small bouquet of white and red roses.

Arm in arm Dad and I walked to the altar. Thoughts flew through my mind. I can't believe this is happening. Step. I'll be forever with my one true love. Step. Now, he'll bite me so I can be a part of his world. Step. But what about Dad? Step. Who will watch over him while I’m turning? Step. And mom, too. Step. I won't be able to see them anymore. Step. But what about Jacob? Step. He still loves me. Step. Do I still love him? Step. No, of course I don't. I told him Edward was my love. Step.

Finally, we reached our destination, Edward with his loving eyes stared into my soul. I blushed as my dad gave me away to him and the song ended. Scanning the crowd, I saw all my old friends from high school graduation–has it really been two months since? It felt like forever. My mother sat with Phil in the first pew with a camera snapping away in her hands. I sighed. Good ol' mom.

Turning towards the priest, we began the ceremony. “We are gathered here today to witness Mr. Edward Anthony Masen Cullen Jr. and Ms. Isabella Marie Swan in this sacrament of Holy Matrimony.” I tuned out the priest to stare into Edward's butterscotch colored eyes, dreaming of the future we were going to have. How many children we could have. Wait; are vampires able to have children? Emmett and Rosalie don't have any, and neither do Alice and Jasper.

“I do.” I jumped at the sound of Edward's voice. The priest then turned to me to recite my vows. Finally, I would be together forever with Edward.
