Ashley’s POV

Martha…a friend and housekeeper to Spencer but a definite threat to my existence.  How do I get rid of someone who Spencer considers not just a housekeeper to her but also a good friend?  And from the old country of Transylvania, no less… damn!  I’m surprised she didn’t whip out a big ass cross and a bag full of garlic when she saw me bite Spencer last night.  I sensed her there watching me with Spencer.   I read her thoughts when I passed by her in the hallway.  She plans on telling Aiden about me which means I will have to eliminate her before she does that.

“So what do you think Glen,” Steve asked.

“Steve this is just a senseless killing.  Someone got a knife and slit this man’s throat.  This guy was robbed and someone was trying to make it look like those other killings.”

“How do you know he was robbed?  He’s missing identification like the other dead guys.”

“First of all those guys were drifters, this guy doesn’t look to be homeless or a drifter.  Look at the expensive shoes he has on and the name brand shirt and slacks.”  Taking a closer look at the body, “look whoever killed him forgot to take off the expensive chain around his neck.  Second, there are no bite marks on his neck.  None of the other victim’s necks were sliced, they were bitten.  This was just a sloppy robbery that went wrong.  Have them scan the area for the murder weapon and possibly a briefcase or backpack.  This murder was made to look like the other killings.”

Before going over to Spencer’s for dinner I decided to roam the woods in and near Simi Valley.  

Maybe I might run into Madison.  After finding out that it was her doing all the killings in Simi Valley I needed to find her and talk to her.  I can’t believe she could be so careless.  She of all people knows that once a human has been bitten their body must be burned unless you’re going to use them as a slave or minion as I like to call them. 

Looking at my watch I realize I have three hours to find Madison and get ready for my dinner with Spencer.  I’ve been wandering around the woods for an hour listening for any unusual noise and sniffing the air for her.  But there was nothing.  Just as I’m about to leave someone comes up behind me.  I whip around quickly to put the person in front of me, instead of behind me.
