“Well… no I just… umm, so are you okay with your sister being gay?”

“Yeah I’m okay with it as long as Spencer is happy.  And if looks alone could make you happy my sister is floating on a Cloud 9.  Steve this woman was breathtaking.  I’ve never met anyone so beautiful.  She… she literally took my breath away.”

“Wow, she must be really good looking for you to say all that chief.  And this was your sister’s girlfriend?”

“Yep, too bad cause I really would have liked to tap that.”

“Look on the bright side, if you hang with your sister more maybe she’ll throw you a bone,” Steve said teasing his boss.

“I do not need my sister’s help getting women… thank you.”

“Anyway while you were gone I thought we had a witness to one of the killings.”

“A witness, why didn’t you say something earlier?”

“Well I thought you might have wanted to talk about how much fun you had visiting your sister in San Francisco first before dealing with all the murders, mayhem and the like.”

“Thanks for caring, now about the witness,” Glen asked rolling his eyes at his deputy.

“Yeah this homeless person came into the station claiming he saw the last victim get attacked by a… get this…woman.”

“A woman…?  A woman couldn’t have done that kind of damaged.”

“Yeah that’s what I thought so I gave him a few dollars and told him to get lost?”

Knock… knock

“Come in,” Glen yelled.

“Hey chief, there’s been another killing.  This one is on Maxwell Street.  The ME wants you over there pronto.” 

“Okay Mark, I’m on my way.  Come on Steve.”

“Maxwell Street, that’s in the city Glen.”

“Yeah so.”

“The other three killings were in isolated wooded areas.”

Glen gave Steve a grim expression.  “Come on Steve let’s go.”

“Hello.”

“Hello Spencer, it’s Ashley.”

“Ashley I’m so glad you called.” 

“You are, now why is that?” I asked.

“Well I know we’ve only known each other for a short time but I’m already missing you desperately and I wanted to tell you I had a lovely time last night.” 

“I had a nice time too. How are you feeling today?”

“I feel fantastic.  I’m sorry for falling asleep on you, especially after I asked you to come in for coffee, and I also want to thank you for changing me out of my evening clothes and putting me to bed.”
