Somebody to Love – (Chapter: (1))

"Shit!" I exclaimed scared to death by the door opening

"oh, I’m sorry! I didn’t think anyone would be here" the girl replied

"no one should be here" I snipped at her

"you’re Ashley Davies aren’t you?" she asked me

"is that a fan asking?" I wondered getting ready to defend myself and kick her ass on the street

"you don’t know who I am do you?" she asked me then I looked behind her to see a picture of Kesha on the wall with the album art drawn up next to me

"oh I’m sorry…" I said getting up to shake her hand "…I was just working on your tour dates actually." I told her

"yeah looks like it" she replied in a kind of smart ass tone which amazed me because she knew I was making her career

"no, before this…I needed a break from the computer screen" I  told her

"working on one of my songs?" she asked me

"not exactly" I told her "Passion Pit remix…"

"oh my god! the one everyone was talking about?" she asked me

"maybe?" I replied "so what are you doing here at three in the morning?" I asked her

"Oh, Phil told me I could use the studio…I work the best at night and I know how to put my own beats together…" she explained "…if you don’t mind, after all, you did take this place over in two months" she told me

"no, not at all…" I told her stepping away from the mixing station and she sat down putting one of the head phone ears on

"you know…I remember when you came to one of my small Agora shows in Cleveland" she told me

"yeah well, a lot of people remember me coming to their shows" I replied

"I remember my manager to look for certain moves you make to see if you like what you hear or not" she added

"I have moves?" I asked her curious

"I was on stage singing ‘Your love is my drug’ and he told me that if you lift your chin up while looking, then you’re interested to hear something else and within the split between the chin lift and the next song, if you don’t talk to anyone and you pull out your phone, then I should pull out my best next so I sang ‘Tik Tok’ and then he said if you take your hat off and rest it in front of your mouth then I’ll be getting a call from you, and there you were…taking your hat off" she said laughing to herself "I can’t tell you how many nights I stayed up waiting for Phil to give me that call giving me studio time…"
