When we were walking out to my car Aiden called me “hey how’d it go?” he asked worried we might have lost

“we won it bitch!” I said making him laugh

“oh fuck yeah!” he replied “so…I talked to Spencer today…” he added

“oh…” I said simply “…look, I know she doesn’t want to talk to me, but could you tell her about…”

“nationals? Yeah…I’ll tell her, and by the way I’m forsure coming” he told me

“just let me know what she says…” I told him

“aight…well go celebrate!” he said

“I will…later Aiden…” I said to him then I hung up the phone

“how’s he doing?” Brooke asked

“he’s good…”

“when you said ‘she doesn’t want to talk to me’ were you talking about Spencer?” she asked me

“uh…yeah…” I told her not wanting to lie

“you think she’ll come?”

“I don’t know…I really don’t know…” I told her “…but I don’t want to worry about that…lets just have fun tonight” I said then I took her hand in mine lacing our fingers together

“ok…” she said shyly again and it was adorable

A week later was nationals…before the game I looked around for Spencer, then when we ended up winning Aiden rushed to the field along with thousands of other people

“she here?” I asked him after giving him a hug

“she didn’t come Ash…” he told me “…I’m sorry…” he said then I just put my head down “…but hey, you’ve wanted this your whole life, do you really want to wait around for someone who will never give you anything back? Or do you want to be with someone who wants to be with you?” he asked me looking over at Brooke “you like her Ash…I know you do, because I know that look…” he told me “…so go get her” he added then I gave him another hug and I ran over to Brooke

“Brooke!” I yelled getting her attention

“Ashley!” she said running over and hugging me “we won! We actually won!” she said happy as confetti fell from the sky, and I just looked into her eyes “what?” she asked smiling at me
