    She’d left the past behind her or so she thought. Now it was staring her in the face and all she could do was keep running.

     

    She figured his look was disapproving but didn’t give a damn.

     

    “Right, thanks Randall. I own this hotel Ashley so get your nasty head out of the gutter,” Madison muttered and strode forward.

     

    It took Ashley a moment to move and once she did she realized Madison was carrying her guitar case.

     

    She didn’t have time to wonder when Madison had become favorable to manual labor as she ran to catch up with her.

     

    The hotel was impressive.

     

    Large, spacious, and luxurious.

     

    Ashley wanted to hate it but couldn’t really hate it too much, not once she entered the penthouse suite.

     

    “Use the bathroom over there. You’re bedroom is over here and clothes are in the closet. Something should fit you. When you’re done taking a shower we can eat. Make sure you wash you’re hair too.”

     

    Ashley followed Madison’s pointed finger as it moved around the huge living room and nodded.

     

    “I’ll be sure to do that, Mommy,” she bit out in anger.

     

    Madison moved swiftly from her position in the middle of the room and came to within inches of Ashley.

     

    She reached out and snatched the sunglasses from her face.

     

    “Don’t confuse me with your mother. I’m sure she never cared enough to tell you how or when to wash your hair. Just go get dry and be glad I picked you up. Because you know I didn’t have to.”

     

    Moving stiffly Ashley walked in the direction Madison had pointed to for the bathroom.

     

    She refused to look back.

     

    She hadn’t looked back in over five years and she wasn’t about to start now.

     

    She’d put up with Madison’s shit because she’d asked for help, but once she had her shower and clothes she was so gone.

     

    She blanked her mind as she stripped off her wet and clinging clothes, ducking from her reflection in the mirror and ignoring the expensive fixtures around her.

     

    She turned the water as hot as it would go and stepped into the shower stall. She moved on autopilot scrubbing her body and washing her hair per Madison’s orders. She didn’t know how long she stood under the hot spray.

    7. Uh OH! Im not exactly sure what is going on, but I am definitely intrigued. Both Spencer and Madison are cold towards Ashley. I have a guess, maybe, but we’ll see. Update soon.
