    Phase two just got a lot more interesting

    Spencer: Come on! I need your help…”

    Janet: “Sorry, can’t help ya, Carlin. There is no way in hell I’m occurring the wrath of Davies. After what happened last time, when I was checking you out and you were half naked…nooooo way! I’m lucky I made it out alive!”

    Spencer: “What are you talking about?!” I blanch as I lean back in my seat.

    Janet: “She practically beat me up! Nope, sorry Carlin, you’re gonna have to make someone else a punching bag!” And with that, she practically runs away from the table. I look over at my friends and see they’re all silently laughing.

    Spencer: “What?!”

    Kelly: “That’s gonna be what most girls say, Spence. Ashley wasn’t at all shy about making it known that no one could go near you.” I frown, but really I’m doing an internal happy dance. I like belonging to Ashley and it’s cute and freaking hot that she gets all jealous-like.

    Spencer: “Well who am I gonna get to flirt with me?” I ask as I throw up my hands. The table is quiet and a few moments later Ashley walks into the cafe.

    Ashley doesn’t make eye contact with the table, but instead, goes right up to the front of the cafe to get in line for food. I already got her chicken nuggets, but she walked so quickly that I couldn’t stop to tell her.

    Spencer: “Just great. Ashley’s here and I have no one to flirt with me!”

    Gage: “Yeah, that sucks, Spence. But come on, seriously, who were you gonna get? I mean, who is this school would ever stand up to Davies? Who in this school would she ever not want to go toe to toe with? She can beat practically everyone up!” She concludes with a shrug.

    Spencer: “That’s true.” I mumble.

    Then, suddenly several things happened in quick succession.

    Sara: “Oh. My. God!” Sara exclaims as her face lights up.

    Kelly: “Absolutely not, Sara!” Kelly scolds.

    Sara: “But she’s the only one!” Sara says in a singsong voice as she smiles brightly.

    Kelly: “That’s true but…”

    Sara: “And it would make it soooo devilishly entertaining!”

    10. Grrr! I hate getting a late comment in, bloody time zones! But anyway, that was a stroke of genius. Does this mean that Spencer gets to kiss Gage?? Please? Favours can be offered?!?! Ashley’s best friend and her Spencer? Uh, oh. Sparks are gonna fly but I hope it’s not too much for Ash, she may be stubborn but if she sees Spencer ‘with’ someone else I’m thinking it might be the push she needs, but in the wrong direction.

    11. babe that was SO good, so heartbreaking when ashley left the dress shop with tears in her eyes sadface! i have a hunch that there is more to this than ashley thinking spencer will move back to ohio, just a hunch. cause i’m detective like that ya know?… i’ve very nervous about this gage ashley spencer long triangle, i don’t think it will turn out as planned, again just another hunch. :-) can’t wait to read more

    19. OH. MY. GOD. i so dislike you right now, not really. the end was classic, i love how Spencer was so oblivious even after Gage figured it out. I wish Ash would hurry up and figure out that Spencer isn’t going any where. I love this story so worth staying up until almost 6 in the morning to read. PMS ASAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
