    Home is where Spencer is.

     

    On one of our calls she informed me that she had gotten an internship across the country for over the summer.  I was pretty heartbroken.  That meant that soon after I returned home, she would be leaving home and embarking on her own adventure.

     

    I knew she was holding back on talking to me because she wanted me to enjoy my experience. It was about a month before our next written correspondence:

     

    Spencer:            Hi.

    I miss you a lot, and now that I’m not as go-go-go, your absence really sinks in.

    Come home!

    Love from your only friend named Spencer

     

     

    Me:                        I love you!!!

    I am starting to miss you more as well.  Not spending the summer with you is starting to sink in for me.

    European coffee outside is making me think of you.

    Spencer:            Okay well tomorrow hopefully we’ll have a chance to talk.  I’m of course incredibly jealous.  Are you done with school and such?  How long will you be traveling.

    I hope that you’re well, mind and body.  I love you lots.  And I’m excited that I’ll get to see you sort of soon-ish. Our time apart is over half over.

    Please think of me.. because I’ll be green with jealousy thinking of you! :)

    I wish I could have participated in your wonderful day. The more I talk to you the more I miss spending time with you; so…. maybe we’ll have to quit the correspondence thing? (me trying to hold a serious face that quickly melts to giggles)

    As I was reading your e-mail, Andrew Bird’s Heretics started playing on the radio. I enjoyed it very much and… it seemed like a little present from you or something. it was a good moment. :)

I’m making a guess here… Ashley’s gunna come home spill her guts to Spencer, then Spencer won’t know how to react cause she’s seeing this boy (blah whatever) and then things will get confusing for her, Ash will feel heart broken cause Spence will now be the one leaving and it will be weird. And then.. drama-rama-rama! Haha Am i right? I’m right huh? I’m jk jk. But really this story rocks, I love your writting and I can’t wait to see what happens with these two. Pms =]

    3. That was wonderful. Being the hopeless romantic that I am, I pray that Ashley and Spencer wind up together once she returns. However, this story has the essence of a tragic love story. I feel as though my heart shall break for them, please prove me wrong. Amazing update. PMASAP!!!

I also think that Ash is going to pour her heart out and I really want to see them together but I don’t think Spence will be ready for it so she’ll shut Ash out and then comes more and more drama! ugh with the drama! just kidding, makes for a great read. Well that was just great :-) Nice meaty chapter so thanks…Very sweet and I gotta say I LOVE Facebook I’ve recently found one of my all time best friends I lost touch with, never really got into the MySpace thing…Sorry I digress…Back to the story! I anticipate some drama coming up, things never run smoothly in Spashley land do they?…Ummm does Ash confess, get rejected, randomly hook up and get caught by Spencer who is coming round to say she feels the same?? Too involved?..How about Ash says nothing, Spencer finds a man on her internship, Ash wallows until Spahleyness eventually ensues?? Or…I know, I know, I’m rambling…but this is good…Ash says nothing but Spenceer hooks up with an Ashley look-a-like whilst on her internship and Ash wishes she’d said something before!?! Can I at least have points for effort ?!? :0)
