The couple were laying on the bed casting coy glances at each other. Spencer looked at her watch and a sad smile came to her face. “I should probably get down stairs, the taxi will be here soon.”
“Really?” Kyla asked disappointed. “Feels like you only just got here.”
“I know but I have to go, you will have my lovely company at school tomorrow.” Spencer moved off the bed and started to approach the door, she felt Kyla’s hands on her waist and immediately turned to face her. The blonde looped her arms around the shorter girls neck and looked into dark eyes. “I don’t want to go either.”
Kyla leaned up and placed her lips upon Spencer’s in a tender kiss. “I wanted to kiss you before you left, thought it better I don’t do it down stairs.”
“Good thinking.” Spencer smiled, kissing the girls forehead. “We’ll talk about all this, I just don’t want anything to spoil tonight.” The evening had been prefect and she didn’t want a deep conversation to ruin the beautiful start.
“Okay.” The pair exchanged one more quick kiss and then separated into friends mode to leave the bedroom. “You want me to pick you up tomorrow for school?”
“Yeah that would be great.” Spencer smiled unable to keep her eyes off Kyla. “I’m glad we sorted um…everything out.” She wanted to watch her words just in case Ashley was about the house somewhere.
“Me too.” Her heart was telling her to kiss the girl beside her but her head over ruled the action and instead the duo made it to the door. “So I’ll see you tomorrow morning.”
“Yeh, only if you’re lucky.”
“Funny, I’m feeling quite lucky recently.” Kyla felt her cheeks blush and she quickly averted her eyes to the floor, but the hand squeezing hers caused Kyla to look up.
“Me too.” The car pulled into the drive. “I guess that’s me.” Spencer too felt the need to kiss Kyla but withheld the need and settled for a simple hug in its place. “Bye.”
“See ya.” Kyla waved and waited in the door way and watched until Spencer had gotten in the car and the tail lights had disappeared.
“You two seem to have sorted yourselves out.” The voice caused Kyla to spin around and a wave of panic swept through her body, how long had her sister been stand there?

I have been a diehard Spashley fan for a long time, but I think the Spyla storyline is necessary for the healing of Spencer’s heart. Spencer & Kyla have a chemistry together that is quite charming and refreshing. However, I do believe that Ashley needs to suffer the consequences of her own actions before she can be granted the gift of loving Spencer again. Ashley chose Aiden over Spencer which broke Spencer’s heart in a million pieces. So Ashley needs to see what it feels like to lose the one you love to someone else, which happens to be Kyla. Once Ashley learns her lesson and Spencer’s heart heals then they can begin the journey back to loving one another again. Unfortunately, we always have Aiden stepping in and screwing everything up…you do know the delete key works great when the storyline of Aiden comes up or you can ship him off to Iraq or something. Captivating story. PMS
