Spencer was sitting on a bench outside the school building checking the people passing to see if anyone of them was Kyla. The brunette was meant to pick her up that morning, but she had received a text to tell her that she was running late and would meet her at school. It was lunch time and she had yet to see the brunette, Spencer could not help the excitement she felt that morning thinking about her. She didn’t want to think the worst, that maybe Kyla was ignoring her but she could not help the insecurities rise. Spencer didn’t want to have these feelings so early on and she was aware that she would have to get over them, but the blonde wanted to share them with Kyla and talk about it; dealing with it together. Finally her eyes focused on a short girl rounding the corner and her face began to shine, she didn’t want to show the world her emotions so brashly but she relished it.

Kyla saw the girl at the table with her delicate shy smile and a warmth rippled through her form. She couldn’t deny that she’d avoided Spencer, not picking her up and when she had come into school, the words from Aiden were still fresh in her mind. However Kyla had seen the girl exit a class after first period and knew that she had to see her; had to have those lips smile at her and had to have those beautiful eyes gazing at her. Spencer had quickly become like a drug to her, everything had tumbled out of control so quickly. Usually it would have scared her, Kyla enjoyed having control over her life, she felt disoriented when her life was unmanageable yet with Spencer it made her feel alive and free. And right now she had to get another hit to make it through the rest of the day. Her short walk finally took her to the table and she sat beside the blonde.

“Hey, where have you been hiding today?” Spencer asked with a cute smile.

“Why? You missed me?” Kyla replied enjoying the way Spencer’s eyes were looking upon her.

“No, I missed my ride.” She joked, getting a fake hurt look from Kyla. “I’m kidding, of course.”
