Everything Changes After Spending 7 Months Apart – (Chapter: You change your mind like a girl changes clothes!)
“No, it didn’t go quite that far.” She says.
“Well I’m glad to hear that you’re moving on from Aiden.” I say. “Because if not, I had more information to fill you in on”
She doesn’t even hesitate in telling me about how she doesn’t care and that he can kick rocks. She doesn’t even seem agitated by it in the least. If it was this easy for her to let him go, why didn’t she just do it a long ass time ago?
“When I saw Sean,” She explained before I ever asked what changed her tune. “It just suddenly clicked for me. I was just like, ‘Why am I putting up with this shit?’ It was an instantaneous realization when I saw his face.”
Great, so the guy she hasn’t seen in almost a year changed her mind but the fact that her best friend was sitting there telling her that Aiden was a bad guy did nothing for her.
Does that really matter?
YES! Yes it fucking matters! When do you get to feel like your advice is actually worth something? She might as well have just said that your advice doesn’t mean jack shit compared to the guy she was making out with all night.
She’s never taken my advice before. We usually just laugh about how I was right later…
Or she just never gave a shit about your opinion in the first place. She never listens and you’re usually right. If I were you, I would just stop giving your advice and opinions.
I know the last place to take words to heart from should be the voice. However, the voice makes nothing but valid points. Why doesn’t my opinion matter? What is it about my opinion that just makes it rubbish? My opinions are based on facts, gut feelings and a clear understanding of the situation. And she comes to conclusions based on some guys face.
I feel myself getting angrier with every passing moment. She can hear it in my voice over the phone. She asks what’s wrong and I can’t find the balls to tell her that she pissed me off. She had a great night. Why ruing that for her? So I simplify it for her and just beg silently that she heads to bed soon before I say the wrong thing.

i cant wait for the next update :)
I truly feel like I understand a bit about everything that’s going on in here, from my own personal experience. the changing definition of what you two are and what goes on between you; stepping aside to let the other make mistakes on their own but being there to help out when it becomes overwhelming; not wanting to lie especially about something so big, and especially because you want to regain the trust that someone once had in you; feeling frustrated that your advice is never really listened to; right down to the sleeping while the sun is out, although I’m trying really hard to kick that habit. I think a lot of it is because I went through something a tiny bit similar with my ex best friend. not nearly as involved as this situation, but I definitely get it. and being that this is all true to life, I’m a bit worried about the “aiden” situation, so I just will say be careful! as always you know I wish you luck with this situation, and I hope the weekend goes well for you!
just saw this was up, as I’m heading to bed, so I wanted to let you know I’ll be reviewing tomorrow! well, later today I guess. just a heads up for ya. ‘night for now.
