(Spencer began to rub her temples, while tears escaped her eyes. Ashley sat there rocking back and forth, not knowing what to do. Finally, she stood up and walked over to Spencer. She grabbed Spencer’s hands, and lifted her up. Both were now face to face with each other. Blue eyes bore into brown ones. Ashley lifted her hand, and stroked Spencer’s cheek. After a second, Spencer leaned into the touch.)

Ashley: I love you Spencer. I am so in love with you. I am so sorry.

Spencer: I never stopped loving you Ash. Never. Not once. I never meant to hurt you, and I am sorry I did.

Ashley: I want to start to over. Clean. The past in the past. We can’t change it. But we can learn from it. We still got the present and our future. We can make of it what we want. And all I want…..all I ever wanted was to have you by my side. Let’s start over.

Spencer: Are you sure? Is that even possible with everything we have been through.

Ashley: Do you love me Spencer?

Spencer: You know I do.

Ashley: Than that is all we need. Love trumps fear every time. I know we can make it right this time around.

Spencer: We found each other at 16. I think we were always destined to be with each other. I know we will make it right.

(They stared at each other with the biggest smiles you could ever see. After a few minutes, Ashley slowly moves forward, and places her hands on both sides of Spencer’s face. She leans forward a little more, and when Spencer leans in the rest of the way , the kiss. It starts off slow and sensual. Just lips moving across lips. Suddenly , mouths begin to open, and tongues slip in. They kiss like it’s their first one, with so much passion and force. Five years of hurt, anger and betrayal are behind that kiss. A kiss that is soon broken when both girls are in need of air.)

Ashley: I waited forever to feel your lips on mine again.

Spencer: I never thought I would get the chance to do that again.

Ashley: Well, now we have a lifetime.

Spencer: A lifetime. I like that.

Ashley: We should go downstairs. I am sure we have people down there dying to know what is going on.

Spencer: Yea. And after we tell them, I think it’s time we make amends. All of us.

Ashley: I couldn’t agree with you more. (Holds her hand out) Shall we?

(Spencer smiles and grabs a hold of Ashley’s hand as they walk out the room. They make their way down the stairs where they are faced with their family. Each looking at the other, each seeking answers.)

Aiden: So……

Ashley: So……

Kyla: Well, did you make up or not? Don’t keep us in suspense!

Spencer: We decided……

Ashley: We decided to take it slow, and see what happens.

Spencer: Together.

Ashley: With each other.

(Arthur and Paula squealed as they ran over to the girls. Paula looked at Spencer, brushing some loose strands of her behind her daughter’s ear. Paula brought Spencer in for a fierce hug, which Spencer returned with more force almost knocking them over.)

Spencer: I’ve missed you mom. I’ve missed you so much.

Paula: Oh baby, you don’t now how long I have waited to have you in my arms again. I am so sorry we lied to you Spencer. I never meant….

Spencer: It’s ok, Mom. You thought you was doing what was best. It’s over with now. I forgive you mom. I forgive you.

(Paula cried while rocking Spencer back and forth. Soon, everyone joined in with the hug fest. In this one hug, everything was released. Every emotion built up over the last five years, was slowly being released. After this, they would be able to move on. They had the last piece of the puzzle. The healing process could start now. Now, they could start to become a family again.)
