Sorry, I made you guys and girls wait so long. Things have been hectic since getting back. Here is the next installment. I am thinking another one or two more chapters and than I am going to put this baby to rest…maybe…..depends on if I get the feeling like it could continue because I don’t want to continue it or drag it out and ruin the story…so maybe you all could let me now what you think. Ashley: I…..Look, Spence…..a part of me thought you was there, but I was never really sure. When I found out you ran off, I thought you could have went anywhere. I remembered you saying some of the happiest times in your life was with your grandparents in Texas, but I was never sure that was where you went. I told Kyla I thought that was a possibility, but I figured that would have been too easy. I thought you would have went somewhere, we never would have thought of. So, I guess yea, maybe a part of me knew you was there, but I was never really sure. Apparently Kyla thought it was worth a shot.

(Spencer stared at Ashley hard. To anyone else in the room it would have looked like she was starring through Ashley. Ashley was just sitting there with her hands clasped. She didn’t know what else to say to Spencer to make everything ok. What do you say to someone who’s life you nearly destroyed? Words could ever take back the damage caused. Yet, both girls wanted words. They wanted closure. Each was seeking the pieces of the puzzle that could put them back together again.)

Spencer: But you didn’t?

Ashley: Didn’t what?

Spencer: You didn’t think it was worth a shot? You didn’t want to find me?

Ashley: Everyday.

(Spencer went to talk, but Ashley held up her hand signaling to her to remain quiet that she wasn’t finished talking.)

Ashley Continued: Everyday, I thought about going to find you. That day in the hospital, I was pissed. I was pissed at you. I was pissed at me. Your mom. Aiden. My father. My mother. Everyone. I was pissed at the world. I was consumed by hate. I honestly wanted to die that night. And if Kyla and Aiden didn’t find me, I would have. I never saw a reason for living when you left me. You were body and soul. My whole reason for living Spence. If I didn’t have you, I didn’t have myself. When your mother came in that day, I told her to make you think I was dead. I wanted to hurt you like you hurt me. I knew it wrong. I knew it would hurt you. I wanted you to feel like I was. When your mother told me it was done, I said ok. When I got released from the hospital, I went away. I ran. For 4 years, I ran. I went to Europe. And I never looked back. You see Spence….everything you missed, I missed too. I missed the wedding. The birth of my niece and nephew. Clay and Chelsea’s child. All of it. I couldn’t deal with it. They were all reminders of what had happened. Especially your family. I couldn’t look at them any longer, after I did what I did.
