    It’s decision time for Ashley, is tonight the night?

    ‘Ash?’ Spencer asked quietly, probably wondering why the hell I’d stopped dead in the middle of the hallway.

    ‘S’OK,’ I flashed her a quick smile to reassure her, ‘nothing bad, I’ll tell you later OK?’ I needed to absorb the idea before I talked about it, even with Spencer. Thankfully she nodded and kissed me softly on the forehead.

    ‘Whatever’s best for you baby,’ she said and I wondered how I deserved such a wonderful girlfriend, especially considering the fucked up behaviour of my past.

    ‘C’mon,’ a wink got her attention and I leered at her, suddenly feeling playful. ‘Race you upstairs,’ I called as I took off barefoot down the hall.

    ‘Bitch,’ she growled, a second behind me

    I laughed as I ran up the stairs knowing I wasn’t as fast as she was long distance but probably a better sprinter.

    ‘Yes!’ I crowed as I was the first to my bedroom door. I turned and saw Spencer had stopped outside Maggie’s room. ‘Spence!’ I called quietly, ‘whatever it is can wait until tomorrow, k? She looked undecided. ‘She obviously wants to be alone, if she’s even home, leave it ’til the morning baby.’ I walked up and rested my chin on her shoulder and wrapped my arms around her from behind, gently stroking her stomach. ‘OK?’

    ‘Yeah,’ she replied a second later, ‘sorry, didn’t mean to bring you down,’she apologised quietly.

    ‘Oh Spence, don’t be silly, just having you near me makes me happy,’ I murmured, moving my head so I could kiss the exposed skin on her shoulder.

    ‘Ash,’ she stretched in my arms and rested her head back against my shoulder. ‘Have I told you how much I love you?’

    ‘Not for at least an hour,’ I chuckled, then turned my attention to her skin, changing from kissing to sucking and tasting the the flesh at the crook of her neck.
