My One Special One – Chapter 19
My One Special One – Chapter 19
Previously…
A whisper skidding across the breeze of the night…on the breath of their unseen guardian angels…enveloped these two lovers as they drifted into sleep…
To each you belong
One heart depending on the down beat of the other
Never let the darkness of others divide you
For now…for always…no matter the circumstance
Your souls will be joined as one.
The law books on the highly polished wood bookcases in the usually quiet and austere judge’s chambers now shook from the booming voice filling the room.
“What the hell is all this about, Pete?” shouted Judge Morris. “Can’t we just have a trial without all these shenanigans going on?” Morris was waving the note in Pete’s direction as he lowered the boom.
“Judge, respectfully, my client doesn’t know anything about this note or who left it. He’s in lock up. How could he know what other people are doing?”
“Pete, please, don’t talk to me like I’ve just been sitting on the bench for twenty minutes.”
“Your Honor…” Tina began.
“No…I don’t need to hear from the Commonwealth. This trial is going to continue.”
For the first time in his presence, Pete Roteck was on the receiving end of Judge Charlie Morris’s scornful gaze and words. “Make damn sure your client knows that. This Court will not tolerate threats of any kind made to witnesses or members of the District Attorney’s office. This is a court of law – not a den ruled by street thugs. Understood?”
“Yes, your Honor.”
“You damn well better understand. Now, all of you get out of here and get back into the courtroom.” Morris turned to his Bailiff. “Call the Sheriff’s office to bring the defendant down. Then get the jury.”
Tina and Pete stood and left the judge’s chambers with the echo of Charlie Morris’s grumblings and shouts still ringing in their ears.
Pete Roteck was not a happy man. It is very seldom that he is ‘politely’ chastised by a judge, least of all this myopic, self-centered bastard and he was pissed.
The defendant had been brought into the courtroom and was seated at defense table. The look on Pete’s face as he approached was that of one very angry man. What the fuck is his problem? The defendant thought.

Great to have you back, rc. So happy for you both. Of course, Bette had better hurry and say YES!!!!!!.
That was a great chapter and I definitely can’t wait for the next. Very happy for you and wish you much love and happiness. : )
This is great. Tina pops the question and Bette is shocked. I wish they were getting married on the show but they are not even together on the show. IC needs some tips from the masters. We worship you pen master. Ha Ha thanks for the story.
just say YES… love this story… please continue
ah!! lol great chapter! welcome back and i can’t wait to read more! love it! =)
Oh man, you really left me hanging like falling off of cliff. I hope that you get to post soon. Most of all I hope that Bette will say yes and not allow Tina to think that she made a huge mistake. Besides they really do want to stay together and marriage is the best next step to make.
I’m glad to see a post from you and I’m even more happy for you and your gf, that’s wonderful news :o)) Post soon….
1st brb
That’s great that the two of you are together now. =) Best wishes! On with the story: I don’t know how Bette should answer. But obviously she should be honest.
Bette soo better say yes! Great Chapter!
I’m really happy you are back with this delightful story, but I think it’s a little cruel of you to leave us with such a cliffhanger… Glad you’re tucked up cozily with your woman! So you’ll have lots of time to write now, won’t you?
The question becaome is was Bette’s offer to live together an offer to commit to a relationship with Tina, or to play house? I think that the warning letter threating Bette should have served as a reminder that live is and can be short with NO guarantees. Maybe Bette feels that things are moving too fast, but she needs to reasure Tina that she is serious about their relationship and them being together :o)
Gosh, I am glad to see your post. I was just reading Love Revisted from the beginning last night beacause it is one of my fav fics leading up to this one. Great Chapter and Post Soon!!!
Glad you’re back and had anenjoyable trip. You’ve been missed. This story meshes the personal/professional sides of tehir lives so well. I can’t believe the girls are in the clear yet. Best wishes abd thanks for writing.
i’m glad you’re back and happy, i missed this story…and i know you will make our girls happy no matter what…i think bette is ready, she just doesn’t know it yet
first congrats for your happiness! is glad to know that you two are finally together i think now you have a lot of inspiration! why you let me waiting the answer? but Bette should be honest but if she loves Tina then there isn’t more than yes!
Acreextl, Wonderful, wonderful writing. You seem to inhibit this world and demonstrate the depth and completeness of Bette and Tina’s attraction to each other. Their hearts and souls may be intertwine however it can take some time for their heads to catch up. I know that this frightens Bette particularly given her childhood with Melvin and his numerous affair. Marriage is a sacred vow to Bette and she just needs some time to come to terms with the enormity of Tina’s proposal. Peter is fleshed out into the leach that he is but also as a rounded human being with doubts and concerns however their is also a desire to win and win at all costs so Tina had better be prepared for his slings and arrows. It is inspiring to have marriage as the answers to Tina worries. More please and make it soon. Thank you for dharing your talent and words with me. Your Loyal Fan.
Good chapter. They are sweet. Now the question is going to be shock for Bette but hope she will say yes and they will be happy. Ok post soon please, thanks!
