    Young Folks – Chapter 8

Helena returned to the apartment extremely eager to share the apple crumble and ice cream with Bette. As she walked up the stairs, she reflected on the things that Ted had said earlier on.

So maybe she did have a thing for Bette but she was definitely sure, well, at least had to make sure that this would just be a passing phase. Like how her other relationship with girls were a phase.

The reason being that, she wasn’t suppose to be gay. She was afraid to lose her father if she were to be lesbian. Ever since she was a little girl, her father would always tell her that she would grow up to be a beautiful woman, fall in love with someone great and get married. Marriage, in this case, referred to marrying a man. So being gay was definitely out of the question.

She loved her father, her family more than anything in this world. She would never do anything to jeopardize the relationship with him and her mother, even if she had to not be gay.

Helena stepped into the apartment to find Bette sitting on the kitchen counter, talking on the phone. Bette smiled and mouthed hi as Helena set the boxes down onto the table

“That’s great Al… Uh… I have to go… Yes, see you at The Planet tomorrow morning… I won’t be late. Yesyesyes… I get it. Okay, bye.” Bette let out a sigh of relief as she clicked the phone off.

    “How was dinner?” Bette asked.

“It was delightful…“ Helena trailed off when noticed Bette’s finely toned arm bulge as she pushed herself off the counter.

God, look at those arms. She is soooo fit.

Nonono Helena, you’re straight remember, She blinked hard to shake herself off those thoughts.

“Oh right, I brought home some apple crumble for you. I have a feeling that you’ll love them.” She grinned at Bette excitedly, removing a plate and a fork from the dishwasher.

“Thank you. That is so sweet of you.” Bette smiled, kneeling on the chair peering into the box that Helena has opened. “It smells good.”

Helena removed a piece delicately from the box, placing it on the plate. She then placed a scoop of vanilla ice cream on the crumble.

    1. Alice doesn’t understand that Bette has a life, maybe if she get her own life she wouldn’t have so much time to think about who Bette is fucking. Poor Helena, she has no idea what she did when she open the door and invited Alice in….lol. I can’t wait for the next chapter. pps.
