    And, yes, there’s another small box. It consists of two rings I bought months ago. I was about to propose to Alice then, but it was too late. I found out I had cancer the next day, so I just put this into my drawer. I would like them to be buried together with me. I want to take this memory with me, although I never made it but at least I was about to. This made me proud. And the cd’s. It consists of the songs I listened to after Alice left. They sort of represent all my feelings towards her. It’s just so weird. Please have it buried too. And please don’t let Alice know about all these things. I don’t want her heart to break. I just want her to be happy and move on.

    Ok, I think that’s it. Thanks Shane, not only for this but for all your friendships throughout the years we met. I love you Shane, you always are my best friend. And please tell the rests that I love them too. Hope you all find happiness and love in everything you do. And goodbye, to all of you, my friends.

    Alice couldn’t held but to cry openly after reading the letter. She felt her heart ached as Dana had always loved and protected her, even to the day she knew she had not much time left. She felt so bad that she wasn’t strong enough to stay after the breakup, and she felt guilty as a friend to let Dana battled with her cancer alone. She sniffed and picked up the cd’s in the box. She opened the cover and walked towards the mini hi-fi to play to cd. She cried more as she realized the first song was Last Request by Paolo Nutini, where it was played at the Planet the night before their breakup. Dana asked her to dance, which she complied. Throughout the song Dana wrapped her arms around her tightly. Alice knew there was something wrong, and she asked about it after the dance, but Dana just brushed it away saying that she was just too happy that Alice was dancing with her. I should have knew something was wrong, I shouId have asked more,I was so stupid, she berated herself for being ignorant at her girlfriend’s changed in demeanor that night. Her heart swelled at she listened to the lyrics of the song. She sat at the floor and wrapped her arms around her knees, crying heavily.

    1. Hi uhhuh! I ‘ve been reading this story from the beginning as well as your previous ones but I don’t usually have time to leave comments. This post,however, really moved me and I thought it would be good to leave a comment. The letter to Shane was a great idea that you had as a writer. And it served its purpose well to create that certain atmosphere that I think you intended to. Well Done!P.S. I really hope Dana gets well and be with Alice once more but it’s your story and you should do what you think is best. I’ll be reading. :) Thanks! Take care!

    2. You broke the record with 3 different stories in one day. I had to take a dinner break after reading your story to compose myself. I am with MaGoose & observer, the letter was extraordinarily moving. It hit home alright. I am a sucker for tearjerkers. You did an outstanding job with it. Over time, reading all these Danish fanfics, a few had caused me shed tears, and this is one of them. The rest of the update was suspenseful too. Please allow D to slowly (I do mean slowly, so you can torture me more, lol) get well. Seriously, I want to learn all about the 10 letters D wrote. Thank you again, you rock!     3. Another post? You are on fire!! This one was great, as well. I am torn on Alice reading the letters. And the letter to Shane was just heartbreaking. How much in love must Dana be to have done something like that? I wonder if Shane would have followed Dana’s wishes – I find it hard to believe Shane would continue a ruse like that. I am glad Alice didn’t get into an accident trying to get back to the hospital. How scary that must have been. And Dana is fighting for them? Yay!!! I hope Dana gets better soon and they can put the hurt behind them and move forward. Thanks, uhhuh!!
