    She exhaled as she opened up the two boxes. The box with her name written was filled with with letters and cards. The one with Shane’s name written was filled with only one letter, a cd and another small box. She took the letter out and noticed that it had already opened. Maybe Shane has already read this, she thought. She was battling with herself whether she should read the letter or not, but she decided to open it as she was dying to know about the content of the letter. She opened the letter and couldn’t believe what she read. A stream of tears rolled on her cheeks.


    Hi Shane,

    I know there’s not so much time left for me so I decided to write this letter to you to ask for help. I know you don’t like to interfere in other people’s lives, but I hope that you will do this favour for me, as this is the last time I ask you for help. I wish there is more but sadly you and I know that my time is near.

    I need your help to send the letters and cards I wrote to Alice’s London address. If she ever move to other places then please help to change the address for me. There’s a total of 10 letters and 20 cards in the box that has Alice’s name on it. The letters are meant to be sent yearly while the cards are to be sent during Alice’s birthday and Christmas. I have markings on them for you to know when to send them over. So, that would make them last for 10 years. And if Alice replies my letter, please read it to me whenever you visit me at my grave. If one day you stop over and do not have any letters on your hand, I’ll know that Alice has forgotten about me and move on with her life which I wish she will. But you still have to tell me about her Shane. I would like to hear if she has a new partner or if she’s giving birth to a child. I just want to know everything about her. Please Shane, please. And if she ever asks about me, just tell her that I have been travelling around the world and would only call once in a while. Just let her know that I still care for her, that’s all I ask.

    1. Hi uhhuh! I ‘ve been reading this story from the beginning as well as your previous ones but I don’t usually have time to leave comments. This post,however, really moved me and I thought it would be good to leave a comment. The letter to Shane was a great idea that you had as a writer. And it served its purpose well to create that certain atmosphere that I think you intended to. Well Done!P.S. I really hope Dana gets well and be with Alice once more but it’s your story and you should do what you think is best. I’ll be reading. :) Thanks! Take care!

    2. You broke the record with 3 different stories in one day. I had to take a dinner break after reading your story to compose myself. I am with MaGoose & observer, the letter was extraordinarily moving. It hit home alright. I am a sucker for tearjerkers. You did an outstanding job with it. Over time, reading all these Danish fanfics, a few had caused me shed tears, and this is one of them. The rest of the update was suspenseful too. Please allow D to slowly (I do mean slowly, so you can torture me more, lol) get well. Seriously, I want to learn all about the 10 letters D wrote. Thank you again, you rock!     3. Another post? You are on fire!! This one was great, as well. I am torn on Alice reading the letters. And the letter to Shane was just heartbreaking. How much in love must Dana be to have done something like that? I wonder if Shane would have followed Dana’s wishes – I find it hard to believe Shane would continue a ruse like that. I am glad Alice didn’t get into an accident trying to get back to the hospital. How scary that must have been. And Dana is fighting for them? Yay!!! I hope Dana gets better soon and they can put the hurt behind them and move forward. Thanks, uhhuh!!
